INTRO: Alright,

I would Love to have a reasonably large Modification for The Ballad Of Gay Tony (IF the engine is as moddable as 'IV content)

I was wondering if anyone would like to put together a team, to make a ghostbusters Major modification.

(not TC and not really Minor mod)

 

Although there is one slight catch from me , I don't actually own 'IV yet ! (TBoGT coming april 15 )

Now before you flame, I would like to say, i have more than just a li'l experience with the previous game engine as i have modded 'III, VC and SA, and i've read all the wiki topics on 'IV. I should soon be purchasing EFLC, not GTA IV, I could buy both but my main priority would be EFLC as 'IV has been outdated.

 

What i'm saying is, we could ask permission from the great owner of the 'IV ecto to convert or politely ask to tweak and release a new version. What'cha think?

 

I mean i could work on weapon icons and Some txd's such as clothes and characters when i get the game, but is there anyone else who is interested in this and would join the team?

EDIT: Also, if you wan't the game and have experience with the other games and/or 'IV and have the same urge as me just say! plz!

AND WE'LL SEE HOW IT HANDLES WITH 'IVs MODDING PROGRAMS .

*Ecto-1, Imported into TBoGT with no bugs, replacing Vigero ( need permission, or new edition)

 

*1974 Dodge Monaco Police cars, Blue, New york, Replacing Police Cruiser, (will put a request in a 'IV car request topic)

 

*When game arrives, i will make some Casual Zeddemore clothes for Luis.

 

*Need to finish off Ghostbusting Unifrom overalls

 

*proton weapon icons

 

* 2 more screenshots for a promotional blurb back cover, [wip] (Near the top of this post) (screenshots from 'IV atm, might redo )

I wish you the best of luck, but I recommend that you make some small mods before trying to make a major modification. Even though you are experienced modder of other (GTA) games, it is quite different.

You gotta start small

 

as far as i can see you dont know much about IV

IV doesnt use TXD anymore or DFF

it uses WDR and WTD

we still dont know yet if it will have even more locks for modding

if it does then thank conversions

And WTD and WDR, They seem more detailed and clever than TXD and DFF!

Yes i will start small, maybe with clothes mods , Yeah I've got it all planned out !

*UPDATE*

 

I would like to post an update to show that this is actually going somewhere. I obviously still don't own the game on pc (nor Xbox or PS3)

But I am making misc mods from the best stuff i can get my hands on .

I made a jacket texture that was based on the model and texture from the "North Sails" Jacket mod. (All Rights Resrved to Fabio206)

(The Model is standard and already exists in GTA IV)

 

 

Although the model is for niko so far i still had a go at it

 

Will I be able to convert the model from 'IV to TBoGT? I am under the impression it is more than likely possible

What it is, is a tight jacket (almost to make the trousers look like they are conneceted to the jacket if the same colour [overalls])

made to look like the ghostbusters uniform. It however has a twist as the name badge reads "Lopez" instead of "Stantz", "Venkman" or maybe be even "Spengler" or "Zeddemore".

 

 

By The Way that's just a watermark on the texture (will not appear on the final) as i don't want it stolen! Although it is not a masterpiece! I will Touch it up and add some more details soon.

Tell me what you think, also if there is a better choice of jacket to replace for that tight fit syled overall uniform effect! Thanks in advance

*UPDATE*

 

TBoGT is actually fit for a Ghostbusers mod , take a look at what i drew on this map:

 

 

Where it says Tony, is the Maisonette 9 club and is the where most of the Tony missions are at the start of the game, and just look at how close the Ghostbusters HQ is!

 

Other mini-mods (mainly textures) are on their way soon!

That doesn't look bad, but you should make an own texture from scratch. It's more fun (imo) to have something createdby yourself, and it's really not that hard if you have the right program (Photoshop CS4, for example)

Ok EDKJ, I know it's more fun but please remember that i don't own the game just yet! So it's hard to get the ingame textures but i still want to start early, anyway all the guy did on that mod was a hue change and added a logo, just as i did! And sorry, I thought i could post updates when i had them? is there any way i can renew the topic at all without editing?

 

EDIT: I have Serif Photoplus , and i was using a laptop at the time, I'll soon improve it.

I just wanted to make some skins and see if the the ecto could be converted. As it stands, this is not very far at the moment, but this is not a showroom mod, so it doesnt matter right!?!? thanks, can't wait till april 16th! This mod mite really get underway!

I've pretty much worked out that i am going to have to scrap my works based on 'IV player textures so far .

So just before i get rid of them can you evaluate the trousers i made:

 

 

Thanks, I made the pistol-belt by myself, and smoothed over the legs and got rid of the back pockets.

 

Not that I'm guna get any nice comments, Thanks in advance.
