single player skin help

ok i found two good places for single player skins, but i can only seem to just change the pedestrians walking around and not me (CJ), the player (NOT SAMP). can anyone help me with this. i even tried just changing the policeshirt.txd and ddf, but then i go to change and it crashes. please help

Anyway, to change CJ into the model you want, you have rename the models to player.dff and player.txd, and replace the files in the gta3.img (I don't recommend this, but if you do anyway, remember to make backups).

 

An easier, safer way is to replace the ped that the model intends to replace, and use a player switcher (like this one), to change CJ's model to the new model. (You need to have CLEO installed to use that mod)
