Chimpso
Interiors Troubleshooting Ok, lets face it. DYOM is not perfect and it's Interior DO have some problems. I have some simple solutions to Interior problems listed below, If you have anything to ask then please feel free. Q: Radar does not work in Interiors! A: DYOM V.5 turns radar off in interiors because the games interiors are hundreds of meters above the game world. The reason that radar is disabled is to prevent confusiuon when an objective arrow is pointing up or down when the objective is really in the room next door. Q: Sometimes interiors cause my actors/player to fall through the floor! A: This is a common problem that occurs in some interiors, the interior does not finish loading and so the floor has not appeared yet. To prevent your characters/player to fall to a messy doom, place small objects under the interior where the actors are standing, this will hold them until the floor spawns. Q: I am using the "Browse Interiors" option when suddenly my game crashes! A: One of the interiors in the game (number 117 I think) is coruppted and will crash the game immidiently when browsed, simply use the "Faster interior Browsing" to go past it. Dstrickt
...the interior does not finish loading and so the floor has not appeared... Not really. Some interiors just don't have any flooring at all. The ones that don't have any flooring are mainly the ones that were unused, or only used for cutscenes. Ex. The brothel (unused in game) doesn't have a floor in one of the bedrooms; B Dup's Crack House was only used in a cutscene, so you can walk through the walls, and you will fall through the floor when you go into a bedroom. But I do understand when the floor doesn't spawn fast enough. I usually press Y, then N to go back to the interior. Anyway, its a good tutorial. I wondered why my game sometimes crashed on interior 117...
Dutchy3010
The problem is that it isn't always at 117. For example; I don't have problems with that interior. It is different for a lot of people, we couldn't find the one that is causing the problem. My crashes were at other places than Patrick's. That's why we didn't fix it... DYOM - Create, play, share! Not all interiors are listed and, in truth, the whole of Liberty City in SA is an interior. You may be missing numbers because you are browsing them faster (with Y and N buttons).
