i like coffee enemas
Guru, you're a f*cking king! Swooner: Nice to see you've given us your weekly input . I agree, the zombie game was a success. After yesterday shenanigans, I've finally come up with a suitable name... Zombie Hunting!! Once again, Home Security was a good laugh. I did enjoy the crackshack, although I do agree it may be a bit too big, but it does leave us room to perhaps get a bit more tactical than say, at the Jamaican house. We'll have to keep trying this and see how it goes. Yes, the usual time limit is 20 minutes. I'm not sure why I set it to half an hour. Same time next week?! RE: Home Security... Anybody got any location ideas?
Booze
Home Security tends to descend into a regular TDM after a while where the rules get a bit blurry... Maybe we can try to think of a way to give it some more structure? And I agree, the zombie game was awesome, as long as the survivors don't just run away the whole time. I can also see the zombies working together better, like that time when we were all hiding in the bushes and one zombie lured the survivors to us.. Good times Maybe we could set a route like in 16v so the zombie game is more like left4dead? Maybe we can have special zombies too, like one zombie that can throw molotovs? Nitty Don
What settings did you go for on the Zombie game ? What I suggested or something completely different ?
swooner
Home Security tends to descend into a regular TDM after a while where the rules get a bit blurry... Maybe we can try to think of a way to give it some more structure? Hmm... let's see where we are with this one so far: 1) Defenders need to have control of the house when the timer runs out. 2) No shooting outside of "the property". 3) No RPGs. Those are the basics... what else can we do to enhance this to epicness? I like the constant near respawn, it keeps the action up. And you never know who's in front of you or hiding behind a door. "GET OUDDAH MY HAUS!!" Maybe we could set a route like in 16v so the zombie game is more like left4dead? Maybe we can have special zombies too, like one zombie that can throw molotovs? Mission type scenarios are always epic or even setting some simple goals for survivors would be a good idea (get to the choppah, etc). My concern is keeping this as original as possible while keeping with basic zombie fighting settings. I wouldn't want us to be accused of plagiarizing any other Zombiee gamez out there. If there was another active V-cops event I wouldn't have a sh*t about it (but that's me, ol easyrider). Special Zeds: I'm not a big fan of "infected zombies with powers" of more recent times as I love the original 60's - 80's Romero "dumb but many!" zombie, but Molotovs would be a great addition to the shottys for survivors imo. Let's keep building on this one. I'd definitely like to have another go at this next week. @ Nitty - We used your amazing setting suggestions, though we had 2 or 3 survivors at 10:00 min. Booze
I wouldn't want us to be accused of plagiarizing any other Zombiee gamez out there. You're acting like people are actually making money off of this... We can play the game however we damn feel like Plus if we came up with the idea ourselves then it wouldn't be plagiarizing, would it? Besides, let's not act as if it takes a genius to create a zombie game, I'm sure people have been doing it as soon as they found out about the zombie skins
swooner
You're acting like people are actually making money off of this...lol no (well, I sure hope not), but some people may get all butt hurt about it and whine and dine on the forums (and I don't want to be at that dinner party ha). We can play the game however we damn feel like You're goddamn right we can & will, Mr. Booze! Plus if we came up with the idea ourselves then it wouldn't be plagiarizing, would it? Besides, let's not act as if it takes a genius to create a zombie game, I'm sure people have been doing it as soon as they found out about the zombie skins They have... but not as good as ours will be. boogityboogityboogity... boo! i like coffee enemas
This Sunday I'm hoping to incorporate the "Rise of the Footsoldier" game from Turf Wars into Home Security. For those of you that haven't read the thread, let me explain the rules. The game location is Dwayne's apartment building in Northwood. There are two teams. One attacking team & one defending team. Now the objective is a bit different for this game. In a regular Home Security game it's just an all-out deathmatch for control of the property - last team in the house wins. In R.O.T.F. the objective is to clear out ALL defending team members and make your way to the roof of the projects building and make sure ALL of your team members are on the rooftops for a win. Okay, so there are three open apartments on the second floor of the projects building. At the beginning of the game, the defending team will choose two players to run off onto the higher floors and hide, while the rest of the players get set up in the three apartments. The first objective for the attacking team is to kill all of the defending team hiding in the rooms. Once ALL of the defenders in the apartments are killed, the attacking team must then head higher up and find the two remaining defending players. However, watch your back! The defenders that have just been killed now have a new objective (and unlimited lifes) which is to defend the two AWOL defenders and prevent the attackers from making it to the roof. Once they're killed, the attacking team must then make their way to the rooftops for a win. Shotguns are allowed, but I want to see NO explosives of any kind. Now, for the time limit, I was thinking either 30 or 45 minutes? Opinions? Ideas? I'm all ears!
swooner
This looks real good, Liam. Very thorough explanation! Hopefully we can get a 5 on 5 (minimum) going to keep with the directions. I'd suggest 30 minutes. 45 minutes might be a long time to defend. Can't wait!
i like coffee enemas
Alright chaps! Tonight we'll be giving RoTF a go in Home Security & we'll try and refine Zombie Hunting a bit more. If there's time we'll get some Tasty Takeover or something else done to finish off! EDIT: I'll be enforcing a "no camping on top floor" rule for the AWOL defenders. Edited April 25, 2010 by leelee862
swooner
Good stuff! Liam, I'm going to have to bounce a couple minutes just before 16v to get things in order. My brains are fried as it is and after 2 hours of epic AOD goodness to 16v I'll need a moment to breathe lol. To all 360 AOD members and associates: hope to see some of you guys supporting some AOD games tonight! Can't Wait!

gamesguru
I didn't mention the UK, I meant in General. Of course there are some countries that don't change, but I'm pretty sure the whole of the UK go into BST during Daylight Saving Time? I also was posting in regards to Stadt, who lives in Finland. So basically, he should know that the clocks moved forward at some point. Unless he is late to everything . Iceland is the only country in Europe not effect by DST. Times are a b*tch nonetheless. LeeLee862 What have you heard? I'm sure its all nonsense. I'm a friendly guy and i'm not the sort of guy to try and sabotage your game or anything like that. I think Kinko and LeeRay dont like me for some reason but they've never confronted me about it and i've only played with them once about a year ago when I joined a free mode Booze or Nitty was in and I didn't know them and I think we had a small misunderstanding but it wasn't anything significant enough to make them tell you about it year later. It must of been something I said here on the forums, whatever it was, i'm sorry, but you dont know me and I dont know you so lets forget about it, start from fresh and you can judge me for yourself in-game. LeRay0409
Protect the VIP One team is Secret Service with one of there team members being the target. (Prez) The other team is a group of terrorists and there objective is to kill the Prez. The Prez gets one life and one hand gun. The Prez dies and the SS team loses. Prez lives to get away and the SS team win. Sticky bomb: Simply arm up with sticky bombs and drive around the specified locations killing enemies.. The aim here is to be in a car and pretend to be a ped.
i like coffee enemas
Alright, SP. You seem like a decent enough guy. Perhaps you're right, it might've just been a big misunderstanding. I'll let Kinko & LeRay have their say before I make a decision though. Kinko & LeRay: Care to elaborate why I shouldn't allow him to join the event? He seems alright to me.
LeRay0409
Due to leele being annoying and not leaving me alone i will post why.. He shouldn't be in as i have played with him in an organized event before where he could not follow simple rules. He then carried it on by arguing with me and then sending me an aggressive message over XBL after a game he got kicked from with me and kinko in it. Simple.
i like coffee enemas
Right, so let me get this straight. He messed around during an event, got kicked from it and sent you an abusive message as a result? Alright, fair enough. I can see why you dislike him. I'll assume that's the same reason Kinko dislikes him too? Well, from what he's said that was a while back now, and he seems mature enough to me. Aslong as he can assure me he isn't going to mess around during AOD Games then I have no qualms about him joining this Sunday. If he does mess around then he'll be kicked from the game and kicked from the event. It's as simple as that. I'm not being a dick to people anymore. From now on I'm willing to give people the benefit of the doubt and give everybody a fair trial. If he's online he'll receive an invite from me and I want the two of you and Kinko to remain amicable. And LeRay, if you lose your cool once and try and ruin the games I'll ask everybody to kick you. I'm not saying you will, and I know you can be mature enough when you want to be, but all I'm saying is history often has a tendency to repeat itself with you. Please behave yourself. That goes go for you too, SP, and you Kinko. Edited May 6, 2010 by leelee862
LeRay0409
Like i have told you as long as he doesn't annoy me or disrespect me in anyway. Then he will be fine. And if i must get kicked not like it is a really big deal for me. I understand what has to happen to people who don't follow rules.
