no you cant make brightness 150 bcz the limit of brightness is limted on 100

 

so forget about it

 

i recommend 75 brightness only

if you need it that bright to see either a. you are blind or forgot you wear sunglasses all the time b. your monitor is dying and you just dont realize it. c. you are a reverse vampire.

No he's trying to play it on a weak computer and tweaking the game to hell and back trying to get acceptable framerates. Maybe he figured out how to turn off the lighting and now can't see anything.

 

Tip: Get a new computer, give up on GTA IV, or accept that it's going to be a slideshow.

@martas: As already stated, it only goes to 100. You may be able to increase the brightness slightly by adjusting your monitors brightness.

I wouldn't have responded that way if it wasn't for his other silly posts about removing muzzle flashes and deferred lighting, or his first post where he was talking about playing the game at 350x150. It's a waste of time(his and others) to keep asking these questions when his computer doesn't meet the requirements.

 

I'm guessing that someone told him upgrading to his 1.5gb 8600gt would allow him to play the game, the problem with that is that the 8600gt was never the midrange card that it was supposed to be and is generally slower than the 7900 listed as minimum. Also the 1.5gb version most likely uses cheap slow memory which hurts performance even more. I wonder if his CPU even meets minimum requirements since the Sempron has much less L1/L2 cache than the regular Athlon X2.

 

I don't think that my response was a flame as much as a smart*ss reply, but you're right I should have just ignored it like I did his other posts. I just get annoyed by the sense of entitlement that some people have when trying to play a game on hardware that doesn't meet minimum requirements.
