G#O$TR!D3R - 133457 Posted April 2, 2010 Share Posted April 2, 2010 I've been watching every BOGT video on Youtube I can find, and one thing I've noticed across all is the graphics seem much different than those of GTA IV. They seem much more like saint row, the word "cartoonish" comes to mind. The new helicopter for example, looks like something we'd see on ps2, are the graphics in BOGT different? I'm no expert on the subject but I would think the same engine means the same graphics, right? Any info you guys who already have it could provide would be appreciated. Thanks. I don't know the specifics or technical details, but basically everything is sharper in this. GTA4 was very blurry compared to tbogt. Especially the cityscapes in the distance. You'll notice a big difference when you are up at the top of rotterdam tower. I think there is more detail in the character models. Also it is a lot more colourful but thats more to do with the theme of the game. To be honest, i wouldn't judge graphics from youtube videos unless you watching super high-res videos that I dont know about. All in all, if you don't have it, I do recommend that you buy it. I doubt textures and models were touched at all on most existing models. That way, it'll be very peacefull and the topic won't get locked because of spams. If you want to write comments about a game, write one then. And if you just came here to argue, then just PM the person about it. Ontopic:Rockstar could have made it more beautiful I guess. BTW, I almost got 100% completion on saints row after I got a copy for free, I can tell you from finishing both games. You HATE yourself for playing, you feel AWFUL, but it's so f*cking FUN. You can tell it's a childish game, but there's so much customization, and you can just play with cheats like a little kid and blow the sh*t out of EVERYTHING. Played it for a couple of weeks and really enjoyed it. I don't feel guity or bad about it either. Obviously it's got nothing on gta IV and anyone who thinks SR2's graphics are better than IV's are obviously impaired.
