really id rather not play in london till after vice city

No.

Miami has been properly done since forever, first, Vice City, probably the first 3D game set on a fictional Miami, properly done, enough to satisfy everyone, then there came Driv3r, it was an OK replication of Miami, then Scarface Game, which was good enough, it had a lot of landmarks, then came The GodFather 2, small but had a Vice City atmosphere.

I don´t think R* would rework Vice City again soon, London or San Andreas MUST be next.

There are more VC fanboys than London, I hope this time Rockstar chooses the underrated side of the fan list

No offence

If you want me to be honest, I have never got used to driving on the left side of the road in GTA London 1969 and The Getaway. The fact is that in GTA games, I usually do drive on the right side of the road. The is probably from GTA IV since I don't like it when Niko flies through the windshield after crashing head-on into somebody. I also find it much easier to pass up traffic on the right side of the road. If the next GTA game is in London or whatever, I will most likely to get used to it. How long it will take is something I wouldn't really know.

I brought up this question because, almost always in GTA, when I turn to the left, I always crash into an oncoming car because I'm used to the 'Left Turn when safe' rule in my country, which is the opposite of what the GTA series has.

Wrong.

Read the original post. Where, pray tell, does it state "I want GTA V to be in London!" or "The next GTA should be in London!"...nowhere.

This topic is all about asking people how long it would take them to switch over if it were to be set in London. It's not wishing for it to be set in London, nor is it assuming it will be...it's just asking a question related to London.

In the end, it's all about how a person reacts to moving their focus to a slightly different position on the TV screen. And if you're the kind of guy who goes in whichever lane is empty, then there's no chance of a problem.

I know that most people in the world drive on the right, but the UK and other countries, like Australia, India and Japan, drive on the left.

I live in Australia, and I think it will take me a bit of time to convert to left hand driving in GTA, if the next GTA city is London.

I bet for Americans and mainland Europeans, it would be quite a bit worse.

How hard do you think it would be to change over to the other side of the road to drive in GTA?

I live in Australia too, although I haven't ever had problems with driving on the right side of the road (apart from the fact that it defies logic angry.gif) in previous Grand Theft Auto games.

I don't even have a licence to drive and I usually end up driving on the wrong side of the road in Grand Theft Auto games anyway. tounge2.gif

R* don't have to make traffic drive on the left-hand side of the road, but even if they do decide to put it in it should be able to be toggled for those American players.

First of all, I can't really see the next GTA being set in London, or the UK. It's not the same type of criminal lifestyle as here in the Americas. With that being said, if the next GTA was set in London or the UK, I think I'd have a very hard time adjusting to the new change.

Maybe Britain isnt as hard as the US, but last time i checked we don't have the same population.

Driving on the left wouldn't bother me. I live in the UK and we drive on the left, but in GTA i drive on the right and i don't get confused so why should Americans etc. get confused driving on the other side of the road.?

So what i live in Engaldn it took me about 2 minutes to drive properly on GTA, i was never worried about which side of the road i even drived on...i drove where there was a gap...seriously you got a few issues if it takes you more than 3 minutes to get used to this.

So there should be a patch for all the old games to accommodate British, Australian, New Zealand, Japanese, etc. players as well then, right?

The point is, the gaming world does not revolve around us in the USA. If a GTA is set in a left lane country, Americans should have to adapt to it, just as the rest of the world had to adapt to the "American" cities with the right lane drive in almost every GTA thus far. (Barring the two Londons, of course.)

As someone from the UK I'd say the most important thing is not driving on the left/right in game, it's remembering that you drive on the right/left IRL when you wake up after a hard night's GTA and very little sleep. Happened to me once, almost caused an accident when I set off.

As long as I can drive i'll be happy tounge.gif

I think its just better to leave the driving the way it is....why change it if it works?

If it's set in the UK, they're gonna have to make the drivers drive on the accurate side.

It should be able to be toggled for those American players.

Isn't that an insult to Americans? confused.gif Are you claiming that they are too stupid to adapt to driving on the right side, sorry, wrong side, sorry, left side, of the road?

I have no difficulty driving on the wrong side, sorry, right side, of the road in GTA so why should anyone else? Anyway, if you're having difficulty, follow the traffic! lol.gif

Infact, right-handed people, which is estimated at 2/3 of the world, intuitively swerve to the left - this means cars which drive on the left-hand side of the road intuitively swerve off the road rather than straight into traffic.
