GTA III FAN !! Posted April 1, 2010 Share Posted April 1, 2010 No way, I have a very similar problem. I noticed on the cabby in the background you have black bits (right/wrong?). What i mean is do you have black/strange texture bits on cars untill you get near them? And do you have the strpes on signs in the distance too. And do you have an ATI card. As long as you dont have a toshiba or a sony you can install some new drivers after running driver sweeper (google it, its free). I posted my problem (think its the same as yours) as 'Please help!black lines in gta iv' in troubleshooting too. Only difference is i can't get new ATI drivers as I have a toshiba. GTA III FAN !! Posted April 2, 2010 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Off topic again... sorry i didn't see that (stupid 'ol me again) will use it in the future. On topic... scooter or whatever...did that fix the problem (re-install drivers) many people claim they had simiLar stripes on signs that were fixed with the new drivers. I'm not going to register on ati forums for this but when it says catylist 10.3 i thought that was the driver version no the package version. I managed to bribe a copy of the 10.3 drivers of toshiba support but when it came up with the selection of what to install it came up saying all my software was up to date (even after ccleaner removed all the stuff from ati in the registry and driver sweeper cleaned all of them) after i was this i deleted all the ati directorys, rebooted and re-ran the setup. Still the same. and then it only installed drivers version 8.something. Anyhow, going off topic agian. Let me know how it goes for you if you hav ati cards.
