RED SKIES

This is how it goes:

I'm just start playing from 11:13 game time.

Game, game, game, and at around 19:00, I spotted that there's something strange on the game. Every light have more stronger colour.

And at 21:00, it all begins. The lights are far more stronger in colour and the sky that should be orange is RED! The game's draw distance's decreased greatly and then the whole screen becomes all white and blurred. And then it goes back when it's morning.

I played in 16 bits, changing it to 32 bits doesn't work.

Restarting computer doesn't work.

Then, I run GTA SA Control Center, change the weather to heatwaves, get back ingame, now there's no more red sky. Then, I set the weather to default, get back ingame, voila.

The sky is now ORANGE!

I've played SA on PC for 3 years and this is my first time I experienced this bug.

By the way, had anyone encountered the same issue?

That weather type is possibly an actual existing weather type in the game. Does it still occur if you add (temporarily) a timecyc.dat modification?

The bug occurs at around 21:00, which is the time for the sky to be orange. But the sky isn't orange, but red, REAL RED. I'm able to fix it though. If you want to see it, I'll post some screenshots soon.

yes - i have had this kind of weather before, the draw distance just became so short and the lower part of sky just became red, fading to normal color in the upper sky. it start to happen around 18:00 and ends around 22-23:00. only happened once though, before the mission "Vertical Bird"

edit

it usually comes with thunderstorms as well

There ya go. The first pic is when the skies are red. The second pic is when the view got blurry 'cause there's no draw distance at all.

Try to change your timecyc.dat

As I also said. If using another timecyc.dat file does not help, or you want to keep using the original, could you also post your computer's specifications? Especially the graphics card type can be very helpful. smile.gif You can find it by running dxdiag from the Run dialog.

There, that should explains it. It's on my previous post. I'm just asking is there any people that got the same issue.

Yes.

Well, can you, uh, no.

Well, you said it's red on the lower side, so what's on the upper side?

The time it occurs is similar from both of us, on the evening and nite, around 9 p.m.

Oops, forgot it. smile.gif I'd recommend posting the solution anyway, in case someone finds this post using Google or something.

Solution:

Run GTA SA CC, set time to 21:00. Set weather to Heat Waves. Get ingame. Get back to GTA SA CC. Set the weather to Clear Blue Sky. Get back ingame.

There will be no more red sky.
