foohy
Firefox has always worked great for me, but after the last update it freezes constantly. I've uninstalled/reinstalled it and it's still freezing. It usually happens when I have two pages loading in two tabs in the same window.

Do you have any Add-ons installed? If so, disable each one one at a time and see if this helps.

I've disabled all my add-ons and done a complete uninstall and re-install and it's still freezing every 5 minutes or so. Google Chrome runs just fine, though, so it's definitely a Firefox problem. Tornado Rex
No problems for me either. You could also just start it in safe mode (the Firefox safe mode not Windows) and see if it works (it just disables all your plugins, addons, and themes). Let it run for a while and see if it works. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~

Hmm. Seems to work. No freezing for 15 minutes. Though I already completely uninstalled it (add-ons, plugins, themes, everything) so it couldn't be caused by any of that. Odd. Thanks, though. Don't know why I didn't think of running it in safe mode first. D'oh!

You could try using Firefox Portable or just uninstalling and deleting the Firefox directory and run in normal mode. It should work the same as safe mode with a fresh install. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
SyphonPayne
It could be an issue with an old Profile. If you're on Vista/7 you can click the Start button and type in "firefox.exe -profilemanager" without quotes, then create a new profile. If you're on XP or whatever else you can click the Start button, click "Run..." and type in "firefox.exe -profilemanager" again without the quotes, then create a new profile. If you're not on any of those, the following information will be useful: More Information on Profile Manager Also, for how to create a new Profile: Creating a New Profile Edited April 1, 2010 by SyphonPayne
james227uk
You got off easy After the latest update I couldn't even open firefox. Nothing happens for 5 minutes, then I get a mozilla firefox crash report thing. Oh, well. Looks like I'm switching to Chrome
