annMarcus
I can't be the only one that basically needs a push to talk button in order to use their mic in MP or at least prefers it to an open mic so I thought I would share my findings after a while of looking around. Its a script for use with autohotkey that effectively mutes the mic unless a particular key(v in the example) is held down. Tested it in game for a bit and it definitely works. Mikuzz made the push-to-talk script here at the bottom of the thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...=1092660&page=2 The program is here: http://www.autohotkey.com/ If you don't know the device # of your mic you can get it using the soundcard analysis script bottom of the page here: http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/SoundSet.htm Not sure if the issue mentioned with Vista still exists but I'm using 7 x64 and its working fine as a general Push-To-Talk button, just wish I found that script sooner.
