Kwandilibro
what if, in the next gta you could visit liberty city after a certain mission. for example, u are a drug dealer in vice city, and after u complete a mission where you make a huge drug deal(gone wrong), you can come back to visit liberty in freemode, but only the broker dukes island
SilentSeas
Its not a bad idea, but if it was done I think that the we should only be able to visit Algonquin. I know the airport is in Dukes, but there could be a cutscene showing the protagonist getting out of a taxi outside the Hotel or Safehouse. d0mm2k8
That would suck. Really badly.
SilentSeas
Not if it was done properly, there would need to be some differences to the LC in IV (new buildings, shops etc)
Chaise
I like the Idea, but maybe there could be a few missions there to? Not to many missions though only like 5 or 6, and maybe a couple of things to do there as well. I don't see why GTA has to be confined to one area anyway, so I think this is a very good idea
K^2
As long as they use all the same cars, pedestrians, and radio stations, they probably could spare the disk space for a chunk of LC. So I see no harm. But it would take some work, and so far, you're not making a very strong case for it. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns. K^2
Whenever you are sharing an idea, you are trying to convince others that it's a good idea. It's fundamentally an argument. But that's not the point. The point is that as it is, it's not a very good idea. It needs something to make it worth the trouble of developing. If you really think that this idea has potential, you need to develop it. Turn it into something that actually catches someone else's attention and makes them think, that yes, it would be effort well spent. WF the Hobgoblin
Unnecessary I would say, although I wouldn't mind another San Andreas style mission where you visit LC. And a LC without being able to access Algonquin would be sacrilege. Edited April 1, 2010 by WF the Hobgoblin
deathil93
I don't mind, great idea IMO. Too bad they can't just put 2 full cities or more because it will put a large strain on the engine and it would be like 30GB lol
the nameless
Maybe, but if it is an after-thought, it will only be to keep people who liked IV's LC happy, but I didn't really like it, I'd rather have San Andreas visitable(may have just made that word up), and others would no doubt rather have Vice City, so unless one of them is the main setting, or they are all on it, then I would say no, you shouldn't be able to vist them. Or have it PS3 exclusive and utilise Blue-rays 50 Gigs. I have a feeling 1 or 2 people wont be happy with that comment

grope_4_that_date
I think this is an original idea, and I like it.
Aussiedesperado
I love this idea. It would be sweet if after the story was over that you could get on a plane and go to liberty city when ever u wanted to. Mabey you could see random sh*t like roman and niko walking in the street. Nova69_7
So long as the story made sense and the idea of the main character going to Liberty fitted in then I don't see why not. It would be a cool addition to the game and a nod to the many fans of IV.
Algonquin Assassin
I loved in SA how there was a mission in GTA III's LC. It broke the missions up a bit I thought. I wouldn't mind maybe 3-4 missions in LC.
G#O$TR!D3R - 133457
Every single version of liberty city has been different. I love how creative R* is, I've never in 12 years of gaming seen a more creative and hard working company. Anybody who's been a madden fan should understand what I mean, some devs don't give a f*ck at all.
