_Rob_
Ok so I found the cylindrical unwrapping works really nicely for my character, but I want o use a cylindrical on the head, the torso the legs and the arms, but every time i use it again it erases the one before, does anyone know of a way to have more than one? DexX
Assuming your ped is all one mesh, unwrap one part at a time, collapse the modifier stack, select the faces of the next body part you want to map, apply and adjust a new UVW modifier, unwrap it, repeat until finished. kal-el5676
ok, please forgive me. i'm just getting into this uvw thing. i am rigging a SA body part and the textures are getting totally screwed up, and i cant find the proper uvw or even if thats the problem. Someone told me to try uvw mapping. it should look like this. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/444346-uvw-unrapping/#findComment-1059850133 Share on other sites
_Rob_
You need UVW unwrap as a modifer Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/444346-uvw-unrapping/#findComment-1059851023 Share on other sites
DexX
Also, in the material editor, go to your texture and the "Coordinates" Rollout. Make sure the Offset is 0.0, the Tiling is 1.0. For gta, always do the tiling while unwrapping, never in the material. kal-el5676
ok, so pardon my noobisim. first i hit uvw unwrap, then go to the mat editor and adjust its texture? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/444346-uvw-unrapping/#findComment-1059851805 Share on other sites
DexX
If you haven't messed with the texture settings in the material, then they should be what i posted before by default. Make sure they're at those settings first, before doing any work with the UV coords. _Rob_
Once you have the UV done and are ready for game, right click on an item in the modifier stack and press collapse all, then convert your final thing into editable;e mash, reset the pivot point and then the xform and rig.
