That_Guy28 Posted March 31, 2010 Share Posted March 31, 2010 I am pretty sure that it is impossible to upgrade the processor in a laptop. I might be mistaken but i'm pretty sure you can't. In some it's soldered in but I know with my HP Compaq and my old Inspiron 7500 it's possible to exchange it for a higher model. However, the Phenom II 550 is a desktop processor so won't fit in a laptop. Before upgrading a laptop processor you will need to check if its compatible.
