mkey82
What's a "PS2 casette"? I'm assuming you meant "PS3 BD disk" and the answer is no, you can't. If you were asking about PS2, then it's possible to play PS2 games on a (good) PC via an emulator (like the excellent PCSX2), but there is no GTAIV on PS2. viometrix
dude if you are serious about this, you have no business playing video games. you are obviously that big of a gullable idiot. and the title sounds messed up.... gta iv ps2 (doesnt exist) to cpu (so you plan to cram all that in a processor and not on the harddrive? anyone slightly in the know would never ever call a tower or computer a cpu. but i hope that special tape costs you hundreds of dollars. i know at one point sony made a seperate unit for the ps2 for more features, but it never saw the light of day. and it sure as hell would not contain ancient technology like tapes when the ps2 already had a cd / dvd format. so please go smoke some more rocks, but hey if they are that good, please share. Don't you know a PS2 cassette? It's not a special tape and it doesn't even cost a dollar. Maybe I can show you the folders of it? There's ANIM, AUDIO, DATA, ICONS, MODELS, MOVIES, SYSTEM, TEXT, TXD, and the rest are the PS2's system files I guess, I don't really know about PS2's system. Anyway, are those folders truly are GTA IV's folders? And I use the CPU, so I used the topic title "GTA IV PS2 to CPU" because GTA IV PS2 exists. I went to the game cassetes stores and asked to one of the shopkeepers and the shopkeeper asked me back that is it for PS2, and I answered yes, then the shopkeeper took the GTA IV PS2 and let me buy it. I write "CPU" on the topic title because I am using CPU, so the title will be more specific...

ikt
No offence, but your English and understanding of it (or at least, technical producs) is REALLY bad. 1: A CPU is a piece of hardware. It's inside your computer. Almost every device has one. Your mobile phone, your laptop, your PS2. All of em. I think you mean a computer. Not a CPU. A computer is the thing you're using right now to vist GTAForums.com. It's called a COMPUTER. Nothing else. (Or a PC, but that's another story) 2: The 'cassette' you're referring to isn't a cassette. THIS is a cassette: As you can see, it's old. The only data it contains is audio. You can't use casettes. You probably mean discs. The round things are called disks. These are the things your computer can read and your PS2 too. 3: You don't understand the concept of game consoles. Your computer can't play PS2 games natively. Your PS2 can't play PC games in any way. It's impossible. You however, can play PS2 games on your computer with a thing called 'emulator'. It's a thing that maes your PC into a PS2. But you need a very strong computer to be able to play this. 4: There is NO GTA IV ON THE PS2. Seriously. No. IV. On. PS2. You got fooled. You bought an illegally modded San Andreas with IV skin. It is NOT GTA IV. Not. It's San Andreas (or even worse: GTA III/VC) with IV mods in it. GTA IV only is for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It's IMPOSSIBLE to play a legal native GTA IV on a PS2. Here is a video of the mod for PS2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXMCZmPQ4jk 5: You got fooled. Ask for a refund.

mubd
indonesian call DVD\CD are "cassette" PLEASE speak in English, not Engrish (badly translated English). I'll tell you why GTA IV won't work on the PS2. You want to know if it's possible to copy the GTA IV .exe from the PC version to a PS2 disc so it works on the PS2. The PS2 doesn't read exe files. It has completely different standards from a PC. Do you know why there are 3 different versions of GTA IV (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC)? It's because the three platforms these versions of GTA IV run on have three different standards. If they all had the same standards, then you would be able to just pop in any game into any system. However, that is just one problem. The second problem with attempting to run GTA IV on a PS2 is that the PS2 is absolutely sh*t in the hardware department, compared to today's standards. For example, the PS2 has a 299mhz processor. The recommended requirements for GTA IV on the PC is a 1800mhz (1.8ghz) Dual Core processor (i.e. 3600mhz or 3.6ghz, both processors power added together), which means you would need 10 PS2s to have the power needed to run GTA IV. Consoles like the Xbox 360 and PS3 have slower CPUs and less RAM than the PC (around half), but GTA IV runs on them because the games are optimised specially to run on the systems. Pretty much what I'm saying is it's impossible to run GTA IV on the PS2, because of the different file formats and standards, and even if you did, you would struggle to get the even the load screens of GTA IV running on the PS2 because of the awful hardware. mike752
ikt, you did a good job attempting to explain; let me try now. xXxbBb, GTA IV does NOT exist for the PS2. The game you have may SAY that it is GTA IV for PS2, but it is fake. Second, there are no .exe files on PS2 games. The PS2 uses a different operating system from your PC, meaning that the PS2 doesn't use Windows. PS2 games are designed for PS2s and only PS2s, while PC games are designed for Windows. They are NOT interchangeable.
viometrix
the obvious and wise thing to do would be for a mod to lock this topic and maybe ban him from posting new threads, but not responding to topics (that can come later). otherwise i think ikt and the rest did a great job in explaining things, too bad it was to a neanderthal.
