Spiderman: Shattered Dimension

I have never played any of the PS2/PS3/360/Wii Spiderman games such as Web Of Shadows, Friend Or Foe, etc. The only ones I've played was Spiderman 64 and Maximum Carnage. I loved those two games. Anyway, this game looks really interesting. I'm hoping for a 2099 universe and a Marvel Zombie universe even though I don't know much about all those comics. This game reminds me of the mid 90s of Spiderman series which I enjoyed.

 

I hope to see Spiderman in that Iron Man suit and that armored Spiderman suit from the reality where Peter Parker is a millionaire.

Spider-Man Web of Shadows was the last spiderman game I played. It was alright, the story was decent, the only thing I hated was the controls. They were a bit awkward to get used to. Spider-man games have been a "hit-or-miss" lately, but I like the looks of this one.

Only thing to really look forward to in a Spiderman game is swinging around the city. And the trailer has none of that..

 

I'm not excited by what's in the trailer. NOIR, obvious ARKHAM ASYLUM PARALLELS, and was that a waterfall in a jungle environment?

I had heard a new Spiderman game was in the works, being a huge fan I have bought all recent ones in recent years (Spiderman 2, 3, ultimate spiderman, web of shadows, etc). Some were better than others but you always feel like Spidey with the web slinging around the cities. This seems to have a art style similar to ultimate spiderman, any word on a release date?

Do you guys like the "comic" style? I don't really. I'd LOVE to see a Spider-Man game in the same style as Batman: AA.

I know Spidermn is based in New York but every game has had you swinging around New York and there's only so many games you can do before it starts to get boring and get the 'been there done that' feel. I think the games need a new setting and to take a new direction.

 

Last game i played was Web of Shadows and it wasn't to bad at least this looks like it is taking a different direction.

I'm not a huge fan of the comic style graphics either. I like the noir spider-man or whoever he is. Looks pretty neat.

I like the graphics. I mean, you have to remember that at the end of the day Spiderman is a comic book character, so the art style suits well.

Just because it's based off a comic book series doesn't mean the graphics would do the game justice, but to each his own. It worked with ultimate SM.

 

I'm really curious to see how the game will look when finished. I also hope that the first person view is just an option, but we'll see.

I saw this on the xbox live upcoming games thing, and it looks like there are 4 graphic styles. The cartoony one and the Noir Dimension thing. I think there is a different graphic style for the 4 dimension/worlds there is in this game.

 

Should be interesting.
