skyhigh949
I have a Nvidia Ge Force 9500 GT, Window XP SP2, 2 GB ram, 2.4 Hz Processor. Why doesn't GTA IV run on my PC. Its really really slow even though with all graphics turned off it says "Resource usage 342 MB/1002 MB" What do you guys think is causing the problem? Thanks in advance
Kenster1025
You should have saved your breath. You should not be posting anything until you have read through the System Requirements thread. First of all your processor is too slow, you need at least a 2.6 GHz processor to even run well on low settings, for better settings go for a 3.0 GHz quad core processor. A 9500 GT is not a good graphics card to game on, you need at minimum a 9800 GT or a ATI Radeon 4650. Also you should go for 4 GB of RAM. This post should not have been made here, but in the System Requirements thread, also don't be lazy, just type into the search 9500 GT and see what comes up, or 2.4 GHz, or a crap system. The point is you have a very low performing system, you will need to spend a lot more money to either build/upgrade or get a new system. Have a nice day Ken Edited March 31, 2010 by Kenster1025
viometrix
basically as said above. you people need to learn to read!!! play less games and read more!!! your computer is garbage by this games standards, and honestly is about 4 - 5 generations old. it is in no way a gaming system at all, and gta iv actually requires even a low end gaming system. enjoy your slideshow. Lodis
Ya, but I edited the registry to make it run on SP 2 Maybe it actually uses files that are included in SP3.

skyhigh949
Wat does the game feel like, at 20 fps??And how'd u lower the frame rate?
anus
What exactly is your processor? I mean the model. I recommend overclocking the CPU and installing SP3 as well. Also patch the game to the latest version if you haven't already.
customkingpimp
Try updating to SP3, Because i'm running the game on a AMD 9600 x4, which stock clock is at 2.3ghz and a radeon 4830 with 4gb ram and i get 30-45fps with most everything on meduim but shadows on high. But that is probably because it is a quad core, I noticed you only specified the speed of your processor..
mike752
Ignore the people who say it's a piece of sh*t. What model is your CPU? A 2.4GHz CPU could be anything from a Pentium 4 to a Phenom.
