That_Guy28
I believe in Heaven and Hell. You have to go somewhere when you die. I wonder if they have free Xbox Live in Heaven? You know what being dead looks like? This should give you an idea: I would be so bored that I would just die again. What would happen after that? Suction Testicle Man
I've started hoping people go to heaven so I don't feel as bad when I miss funerals. I'd rather just remember the good times than spend a day with people so sad you'd think their happy memories had been terminated along with the funeralee. These can be people that will happily say they believe in heaven, but mourn like they'll never see the person again. If I went on a very long holiday and a church service was organised to reflect upon my life; I'd be flattered, though confused. And then often immeasurable grief isn't enough - they open up the casket so you can freely contaminate the happy memories with what the unlucky subject would look like were they a zombie. Surely if you need the casket opened to remind you of their facial features you didn't really know them personally enough to be at their funeral? Anyway, my point is I hate funerals, and if more people believed in heaven I think I'd be subjected to less of them (or less trauma at least) - so I'm happy to continue the trend. If at first you don't succeed, you fail, and the test will be terminated.

freak2121
You know what being dead looks like? This should give you an idea: Actually if it's true nothing happens when you die, you wouldn't even be aware of being dead. It would just be nothing. K^2
Concept of Heaven and Hell exists for the same reason as Santa Claus. To keep children from being naughty. So I'm not quite sure why people stop believing in one, but keep believing in the other when they grow up. If you keep telling someone that you truly believe that there is a man with a beard living on the North Pole who knows if you have been good or bad and rewards you for being good, and punishes you for being bad, you at best get laughed at. Quite possibly, get locked up. If you start telling that the man with the beard actually lives in Heaven, but otherwise does essentially the same thing, you suddenly become a respected citizen. You can believe whatever you want, I am not going to try to convince you otherwise. But if you believe in Heaven and Hell, I reserve the same right to make fun of you as you reserve to yourself to make fun of someone who still believes in Santa Claus. Prior to filing a bug against any of my code, please consider this response to common concerns.
TEoS
I once saw something on TV (I want to say Tales From the Crypt) where a man is murdered, and instead of passing on to the afterlife, his conciousness just stays in his body, he just has no control of it. So basically, he has to just watch as his killers drag him out to the woods and bury him. And then just wait forever in his rotting corpse, not being able to move or talk. Anything is preferable to that, whether it be heaven, hell, or nothingness.

No Heaven or afterlife? No biggie, you won't mark the transition to oblivion because you wil cease to be. Kryten.
I believe is something after death. Whether that be heaven, hell, reincarnation, whatever. I just can't get my ahead around when I die I'd feel nothing. Something about my logic tells me there has to be something.
Moonshield
I believe in Valhalla and Asgard!!!!!!!!! Believe in your ultimate prize, Nordheimir! Whatever keeps you asleep at night. Our realm, when we die, is a land of everlasting mist and night. No prize, no punishment. Our prize is here in this mortal realm - this is why we strive to survive.
