rgncoco
important facts: no files have been modified, no mods installed - it's vanilla. Until the latest patch everything worked 100% I have a legit copy issue I can play 1 multiplayer game, then while moving to the next game it will either say I can't access the game with modified files, or say that the game session no longer exists, I have to use task manager to get out of the loop that follows this situation. more facts clean install of xp, fully up to date via windows update clean install of gta iv from disc (gta the only program installed + social gfwl c++ redist etc) gfw live is updated, gta is manually updated nvidia drivers up to date all motherboard drivers up to date windows firewall: off running as admin dep is off pagefile cleared temp files cleared tried 2 brands of router tried dmz (briefly) tried upnp on and off tried downloading the latest C++ redist' package tried the manual full social club install tried loading with reduced memory settings tried using a friends DVD to install no anti virus is installed tried on xp 32 and xp 64. and windows 7 ultimate x64 on windows 7 ultimate GTA ran for a few days then after gta crashed, multiplayer no longer works beyond 1 game. on windows xp x64 it did this from the start R* support seem lost, each tech asks me the same thing - to send a picture of my game root, and to send 2 diagnostic reports. after which nobody answers, then when I ask what they found, I get a new tech that asks the same questions again. Please help! Edited March 30, 2010 by rgncoco
mkey82
Errrm, have you tried modding the game? Try applying some filecheckfix and that efc20 fix you can find on modding boards, mind the file/game versions and see what happens. Don't delete any files without backing them up beforehand.
