5 hours a week for people of the age 20+? That's an hour a day during the week none on the weekends, that's nothing. How does that make someone a nerd? According to you, over 1/2 the people that went to my high school are nerds, because they play XBox live everyday.

For many people that play games, if you're out of school, and aren't working full time, much of your spare time will be spent on games, even more so if you don't have a car.

Having handheld consoles is great but not as a "main console". You can game on the move, that's the point of them so I pretty much disagree with OP. Of course, if you do nothing but play them at home, you shouldn't get them. Simple.

I love how all of this idiotic rhetoric is coming from a modder. How can someone who's taken a huge portion of his or her personal time to learn coding and the like even have the audacity to refer to someone as a nerd, period. That's like Dick Cheyney accusing Haliburton of corruption.

 

Only reason I've continued this for so long is because it's fun watching idiots try to dig themselves out of a hole, only to end up falling further. But I think it's only fair to end this before you have to be committed to a group home. 4 Mods. 3 of them essentially the same. 1 texture mod that changed police uniforms from blue to black. All of which came out in June or July of 2009. Total time = 15 mins (a lot of which was used figuring out how to use paint).

 

 

 

I'd also like to point out that I don't play video games anymore apart from GTA on occasion, I just took excpetion to the mind numbing idiocy displayed in all of BGModder's posts.

If you're 20+ and stay at home all day playing videos games.... yeah that pretty much speaks for itself. At the age of 20, assuming you either work or go to college/university, 5 hours is a big chunk of your leisure time. Also, once you enter your 20's people usually stop playing as much video games as they did when they were teenagers. If you spend nearly one out of every seven days (or more depending on how much you go over 20 hours) then sorry to break it to you, but you're a nerd.

I'm not being sensitive nor do I think you have a hate for anyone and I apologise if you got that impression from my post, my question was more just a general one to anyone wondering why it's a big deal for people what anyone else's hobby is?
