Remember, the game already passed all national censors and ratings bodies when it was released for the Xbox 360. It is SONY that is objecting to content, and only the European division of Sony. If you're not in Europe, there's no reason to think the PS3 content of EFLC or DLC will be any different than the already-released Xbox 360 versions. Well, the DLC of TLAD will be different than the Xbox 360 DLC, but in a good way, not having the old February 2009 map. Not only will kids be exposed to male nudity, they will also be influenced by the game to swear and act all tough on X-BOX Live and PSN like they own the place. I for one cannot and will not support censorship of any kind, it was bad enough back in the day with the pmrc trying to ban music all the time. How typical of sony to tell us what we can or can't enjoy or experience, i'm an adult i don't need protecting from things like this, i can make up my own mind. I don't blame R* i would think thier hands are tied on this although it would be nice if they had the balls to say screw you sony and not release for the ps3 but then i guess money is more persuasive than anything else. Yeah, but even censored it's still essentially the same game. When film and music are censored it can genuinely take a lot away. An action scene in a film, or a death scene won't seem nearly as powerful if they blatantly cut out shots of gore for example. But in a videogame the blood pools or (genuinely pointless in TLAD) nudity won't harm the videogame in the least. Internet websites cut won't bother me, as that's just obscure stuff way off to the side. Also, when curse words are bleeped out or replaced in music it's very butchering... The original lyrics and rhythm was created with the profanity, and when it's replaced the songs really suck. To me, censoring a few things in a videogame won't hurt it nearly as much as when films and music are altered. And in the end, The Episodes are honestly nothing special, they're unpolished and given much less love than the original (already disappointing) GTA IV. So people shouldn't even be upset. This is also mentioned on gta4.net. Most people here don't want some of the 'reality' stuff in the game anyway and hate side missions, so it'll only be a minority who miss this stuff I think. is it a rumour or is it official, and if it's the latter, what exactly shall be censored? if it's a certain penis i might pass the offer seeing it, but anything else? Would a patch be released to remove it from vanilla IV? How the hell can sony say remove some things from EFLC, two years after IV was released with ITS websites - eddie low's blogs, the under age "beauty" page etc.. Hypocrites. Censorship is boll*cks - give us the f*cking game. That said though im a 360 user, and i'm glad now. But i agree with the guy who said he don't support censorship at all - we shouldnt have it in games which might i add in the UK is rated 18 - meaning ADULTS! a 12 year old who plays this game is breaking the law - and i suspect that's why sony made the request. But i suppose it's possible that they may be removing somehting entirely different - perhaps There's a parody of sony in there? Just because John Rau supports R18 games doesn't mean that it'll be uncensored in Australia, he isn't the only member of the Classification Board and games will always be censored until an R18 rating is passed by the Government.
