nrv74
Hi everybody! Well, everything' s in the tittle. And I guess that' s a noob trouble, so I' m sure someone will be able to make me happy... I want to place some parked vehicles, that' s not the problem, they are placed where i want :-). But my life as Niko Bellic would be much more better if they were heading as i' d like to, and i' ve been searching too long how to do this before posting that help request, that i hope, belongs here. And please forgive me if not. Is the code "SET_CAR_HEADING" ??!! and if it is, what do I write after? except the angle value of course... Please, someone help me, so i can sleep again^^

SET_CAR_HEADING requires 2 parameter, the first for the car handle, the second for the angle degrees CLEO MODS CLEO Script Tutorial
nrv74
first of all, thank you for your reply ZAZ. Iwanna use it with alice. My english is far from perfect so i' ll explain a second time, just to be sure..... I want to create PARKED cars at some places in the city, and I need to know what do i write (using Alice) to place them with the angle i want. what is the car handle? for an infernus, for example?? In fact, i' d like to have an example of a complete command to create the car placed where and HOW i want to I hope you' re gonna tell me Edited March 29, 2010 by nrv74
Erem
Hi nrv74. If you haven't already done so, take a look at the CarSpawn.lua example script that comes with Alice. You'll find it in the Examples\lua folder. That will give you some idea of how to create cars and set various properties for them. If you also look at the Lua scripts topic in the Developing section of the Alice help file, you'll see explanations of what some of the lines in CarSpawn.lua are doing. what is the car handle? for an infernus, for example??It sounds like you have already managed to create some cars, so you must be using a line of code similar to this one in CarSpawn.lua:CREATE_CAR(hash, x.b, y.b, z.b, c, true) The car handle which you use to reference the vehicle in other functions is, in this case, c.a but in general it is whatever variable you used in the 5th parameter of the CREATE_CAR native with a .a on the end of it. For example: SET_CAR_HEADING(c.a, 90) would set the car to face east (90 degrees clockwise from north). would set the car to face west (90 degrees anti-clockwise from north). There isn't a car handle for an infernus as such. Two infernuses would have different car handles. What you need to create an infernus is not its handle (it only has one of those after you create it) but its model hash. The following line stores the hash for an infernus in the variable hash which you can then use to request the model and create the car. local hash = GET_HASH_KEY("infernus") The hash is used to create a model of a specific type (e.g. an infernus) and the car handle is used to refer to a particular vehicle (e.g. the green infernus parked outside your safehouse). Squishybubs
I'm not very big on coding, but I have a quick noob question. By gathering the header this would lead to the possibilities of defining a car as a parked car, therefore "saving" it and having it stay in a certain space even if one were to save and exit the game, then re-open it?
