Dark Wizard
I just have a small question here. I reinstalled my Windows and I deleted every Local Disk on the Wizard, when it requests you to select the Local Disk to install the Windows in. I made new Local Disks and then the Windows continued its installing. After it completely installed, I couldn't access the new made Local Disks untill I was Formatting them. My question is, does it have anything in the way I did my reinstallation and in the way I wanted to create new sizes of my Local Disks, or it may take some damages to my Hard Disk or Windows? Thanks. Edmachine
Can you explain a bit clearer what exactly did you do? Are you saying you couldn't access the partitions you made before re-installing Windows? You said you deleted them, so they're gone. And I understand you made new ones afterwards. Try this (on XP): Start -> Programs -> Computer Management -> Disk Management Are any of the partitions unallocated? Format them (the unallocated ones) and they should be accessible. Dark Wizard
My apologies for being unclear, I deleted the Partitions when I was installing my Windows, in its Wizard Installing, and then I created new ones in the same Wizard Install. i chose C: to be installed my windows in and then, when I went to open D: and E:, they told me to Format them, so I am asking if the way I am creating new Partitions won't damage my Hard Disk or my Windows. Edmachine
Ah, now I understand. To answer your question: no, you can't damage your hard drive by doing that. And you can't damage Windows either. I hope you do know, that all files that were on your PC before installing are gone. Now, there are another worries for me. I scanned my new installed Windows with BitDefender and it found 2 Trojans who have been deleted another one, who have not been fixed or deleted... It's quite strange on a new Windows to be found Trojans. Shall I have any worries about that or shall I get a new antivirus to work? I used the Free Edition of BitDefender, and it deleted me 2 infected files from win32.
Dark Wizard
Sorry for double post but wanted to tell you guys that the virus who harm my PC is a csrcs.exe and looking to few sources, I saw this: File csrcs.exe is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32. Known file sizes on Windows XP are 49,152 bytes (41% of all occurrence), 503,426 bytes, 453,788 bytes, 510,270 bytes, 419,942 bytes, 453,648 bytes, 41,936 bytes, 454,656 bytes, 496,756 bytes, 484,420 bytes.Program has no file description. The file is not a Windows system file. The application is loaded during the Windows boot process (see Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce, HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Runonce). The program is not visible. It is an unknown file in the Windows folder. Program listens for or sends data on open ports to LAN or Internet. csrcs.exe is able to monitor applications, hide itself, record inputs, manipulate other programs. Therefore the technical security rating is 86% dangerous, however also read the users reviews. I installed Trial Kaspersky and it removed three of this "viruses".
