viometrix
dont need the language man. and i have seen you have similar debates with others to no avail. do i care that rockstar had their hands in your pants to help you out?? no... do i care about your graphics card and this that and the other thing? no. do i doubt your computer knowledge? absolutely not, ive read many of your posts. do i disagree with disabling powerful hardware for a damn game? YES. it makes no sense. shouldve bought a dual core system in that case. can you un narrow your mind a bit and see what im saying? i am a solutions provider, i address issues like this 10 times a day, but not on a stupid game, more like $40k servers and mainframe clusters. even my techs, many way more advanced then me laugh at disabling a core or two, then why spend the money? hmmm go into bios, disable cores, play gta iv.... go back into bios, enable cores, run everything else. so heres the deal man, i am not doubting your computer skills, just your common sense a little bit. i am also done with this thread, i didnt want to get as involved in it as i am. its pointless. if disabling a core or two on your system makes it work, then you know there is a problem that may have to be addressed with the way the game handles those cores or some other issue. again if others having very similar or in some case the exact setup as you are having no issues, then it is something wrong on your system, not the whole series. so if you drive a red subaru and it keeps stalling, and i have the exact same year, make, model and color of car is mine going to have your issues? just do me a favor, ive changed my way of responding to people here, you do the same

I know everything you do so... I'm not saying it's the fix all solution here, I'm just saying it works... He's right.. Also a way to fix it is to limit the FPS to 30 via the command file... This game has obvious coding flaws, just admit that and quit blaming peoples PCs, not every PC is alike. I have yet to see some one with the exact, same setup as me playing this game. There was some person here that said it had to do with the way the calls are programmed for the cpu?? I'm not in to coding so.. I think he was on to something though. Evolon
STOP the f*ckin ELITISM !! These damn forumn folk on these forums they think they know it all lol 90% of the posts here made are giving LOADS of incoherent and idiotic criticism on solutions that other peeps post. IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.. POST A BEtTER SOLUTION OR A CONSTRUCTIVE ATTRIBUTION..
viometrix
@truehighroller = now were talking, and good to disagree with you. it makes more sense to limit framerate then disable hardware. as for the way the code calls on the cpu, ive heard that too. as time permits, my office has been slammed, i may have a couple of my programmer / code junkies look linto it. @Evolon = you are new here, stfu. you think highroller and i were fighting? its debates like this that solve problems, we are here 20 times a day, offering feedback to people... not always 100% correct, but we try. otherwise the regulars here have a certian dialect we use and how we banter back and forth. but except one or two bad words we in no way use the language or attitude you did. Typically for a moron like you to take it personally.. Look at this thread. Most comments are totally worthless whining about how great their system is and how we are noobs who don't know how to configure ours lol.. while ALMOST NOBODY gives some constructive feedback.. That is all I am saying.. but if you say that is the way of this forum.. then thumbs up for you

It's all good. That would be cool if you could get some programmers to look at it. It would be nice to be able to call R* back to tell them where it's happening. As for the new guy, agreed let the big boys rattle each others cages a little, move on.
viometrix
well we are going to see what we can do. we are in our busy season right now, and just landed a contract to wire and network the new courthouse they will be building here shortly. the two guys i have in mind said they will do it, on my time (and dime) when other pressing issues arent going on. at least i dont have to worry about them sitting around playing computer games, doh. sjaak327
Not trying to get involved into this somewhat heated debate, but it's downright ridiculous that people have to disable cores to get this game running smoothly. Bound to be a combination of things, that 920 at 4.2 is a serious overclock by the way. I'm just happy that my 920 running at a mere 3.2 is not having this issue
