i say they should have 2 player split screen for those gamers who don't play online like me and many others out there. It should be like SA going to visit your girlfriend but split screen and also be able to do it with all your characters friends. It should just be like free roam online but split screen. even a co-op set of missions to would be fun.

Yeah that would be good, not only would it lengthen the lifespan, it would add a new dimention to the game.

Agree. There should deffo be a co-op it is the only major mode that gta series are missing. They could tie it in with the story or do a mode thats a mix between the fragile alliance on kane and lynch and spec ops on mw2. Would be aweasome, you could do races, rob places, sell drugs street fighting arenas like in the ballad of gay tony.

Yes, yes, yes... Games these days, they mostly focused on the Online mode and Singleplayer mode.

Co-op is really needed in the NeXt GTA, whether it's Split Screen or Online for the story mode. I really like that Co-op on SR2, we can do ANYTHING just like playing the singleplayer one, even cheats...!!!

You're talking about like a LAN multiplayer game right? Except not over a network, just on one xbox. Yeah, I definitely like the idea. I play on PC and so does my brother and sometimes when we're bored we'll just go on LAN and mess around.

No he's talking about one screen, divided into two separate games that two people play. Not LAN

To be honest I wonder how well the 360 would be able to cope with split screen. The detail drop would have to be pretty immense to even get a decent frame rate. Playing Borderlands recently on the 360 really highlights this issue and I could see GTAV being even more visually challenging.

I don't think it's from lack of wanting that split screen isn't included, it's from lack of a compromise between gamers visual demands and low spec hardware.

Certain missions on GTAIV, such as Easy Fare would make a good Co-Op mission.

Player 1 would always be Niko, so P1 would drive, Player 2 shoots etc, could work as simple as that. Some missions could be restructured to accomodate 2 players, such as Deconstruction For Beginners, Players 1(Niko) would have to clear out the construction site from the ground, while Player 2(Playboy X) could provide sniper cover from the rooftop. Paper Trail could have P1 piloting the chopper, and P2 could be Little Jacob, shooting from the helicopter. Obviously some ommisions would be made, so certain story missions would not be done with two players, but this would be more a side option then anything else.

I HATE it when there's no offline multiplayer in a game...

except in GTA. GTA is my personal experience. I gotta be concentrated for that sh*t. Play Saints Row if you want to have some fun with your mates.

I'm probably not going to buy GTA V when it comes out unless they have splitscreen and real cheats (i.e. God made an unlimited ammo)

Well, then they can just easily do co-op missions which are tied to one given territory or interior. That way the number of on-screen models could be reduced and the game wouldn't lag. But then again, that would be lame.
