Spider-Vice
What's your RAM? That means low ram so it can't load other cars than the first one that's a taxi I think. FilipGereg
i have 1GB ram. i know its too low for this game, but is there any way to fix this?
Lodis
i have 1GB ram. i know its too low for this game, but is there any way to fix this? Even 4GB is arguably not enough for this game. Try using MemTurbo 4 to see if it helps with your issue.
LordDastardly
4gb would be better but I would personally recommend atleast 8gb - more if you can afford it.
viometrix
your system obviously doesnt meet minimum specs, this is a waste of time to try and do a "magic" fix for you. get more ram, Period. also what processor and video card do you have? though i cringe to ask. FilipGereg
i have AMD athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 4000+ 2.10 ghz and graphics card nvidia geforce 8500gt. the game goes in about 20fps (ps i used some tweak to increase performance, wich really works) but with low amount of ram i only saw taxis, and cause of that i had to download car spawner if i wanted to drive something else. Yeah, your processor and RAM do not meet minimum. The Minimum processor for AMD is 2.4GHZ and the minimum RAM is 1.5 GB (XP)/2-2.5 (VISTA and 7). Ram is dirt cheap now, you can get a 2GB stick at any Wal-Mart for around $30-(or Wal-Mart.com if in another country). The amount of RAM your system can handle, depends on if you have a 32-bit OS or a 64-bit OS, as 32-bit OS's for Vista and 7 cannot use more than 4GB and 32-bit XP cannot typically use more than 3GB?(not sure about the XP one, maybe Viometrix can clear that one up?) and 64-bit OS's can handle 6+GB of RAM. Also, either OC the processor or get a new one to play the game optimally. Just a heads up.
FilipGereg
thanks!! but unfortunately here only 1 gb ram is 30 euros, sh*t. since i am only 13 years old i cannot afford myself that.
joshuazh
8 gb ram i was wondering why 64 bits were better now i kno thats why my 64 bit has 8gb... does the ram also have to do with the stuff in the city? like traffic, peds, walking, ya know... FilipGereg
yes, it has, just like spider-vice said. it needs ram to load traffic, peds and stuff. here the most powerful pc i can buy in store has only 4 gb and it costs more than 350 euros so i have to put more ram manually. that sucks. viometrix
your system is old enough that it is using ddr1, which yes is exspensive everywhere. your best bet is a new computer to be honest.
radioman
your system is old enough that it is using ddr1 Actually, not really, my Vista Desktop has that exact same processor, and it uses DDR2 RAM. But, depending on your budget, it might be cheaper to OC the processor, and go on Wal-Mart.com, OR Amazon.com and get your RAM there where it is cheaper. and you should be good to go for a little while until you get enough money saved for a new PC. This way you can save money on RAM-it may cost a couple of dollars more to ship over seas, and depending on your sales tax over there(it is 6% here in my part of the USA), it will still come out cheaper in the long run. Just a heads up. Edited April 2, 2010 by radioman
