General Goose
Can't spot any differences. Even the CLOTHES are identical. Nice find. Guess they didn't need a use for this Petrovic model (assuming it's Kenny Petrovic, I can see some similarities between this and the final model used in MP, but differences as well) as they had another, so they scrapped it, but later reused it for Van Hardenburg. They probably didn't think going through all the effort for such a minor character was worth it. Nice find.
Hmmm nice bike
Yep, just like Goose said, they probably used that model for Frickie, probably thinking he was too minor of a character to make a new model for. They've done that in the previous games, too.
Weirdo. They've done that in the previous games, too. It's sort of strange to see this happen in this era though, especially with all these new technological advancements allowing for more highly detailed graphics. Also, I've never seen them do this with a beta model of another character.

Yeah, strange, Rockstar uses a diversity of jackets in one ped model, like Jose Trunchez in Undress to Kill, he may be scripted to have that exact head model and glasses to match the Graffiti in North Holland but a diversity of jacket models

I looked at Kenny's pic on GTA Wiki, and he looks somewhat different in game. Compare: Scrapped model. In game experience. They MAY have used the scrapped model in game, as I'm guessing the above pic was from a cutscene, but I don't remember.
Weirdo.
To me, their in-game models look very alike (sorry for the quick, gorilla-style cut-out quality) : BETA: ------- FINAL: ------- As you can see, the final Kenny has darker hair and a beard, while the so-called scrapped model only has a 'stache and gray hair. Also, they each adorn different colored clothes. They both are the same size and shape, and also share faces which are uncanny in resemblance to each other. General Goose
Yep, very similar, but still different. I guess R* didn't think that people would notice the similarity. To be fair, it doesn't matter, guess it saved the skinners one job.

To be fair, it doesn't matter, guess it saved the skinners one job. Actually, it would have been very easy to create a new model. You see, R* created all the game's characters by scanning actual actors with a machine. But yeah, I guess it did save the skinners about 15 minutes of fiddling around with Photoshop. I guess you're right though, it really doesn't matter. I just found it interesting. Edited March 27, 2010 by Weirdo.

As I said, the skinners probably didn't want to spend time on creating a new model, and thought the scrapped Petrovic model suited Hardenburg well.
