Guam, Jakarta is probably very vibrant and fun place to live, but Rockstar doesn't seem to take many risks when choosing a location..

 

Being exotic and wonderful would make for a great environment, but fanboys would either bitch, or praise it, with a 50% chance of bitching and accusing R* of having a "tropical shantytown" environment like so many other games. It would be a risk, and while I disagree with Rockstar for refusing to take so-called risks (the game would still sell well anyway), it seems to be undeniable.

This theory doesn't have too much substance, people keep saying that just mentioning another city is a hint to the next game...

That has about as much sense as saying the next game will be Vice City because they mention Exploder and Just the five of us.

I've always found it funny that cities outside America have their real names (Bogata, London, Duabi, ect.) but the ones inside America have made-up names (NY=Liberty City). Wonder what is up with that in the GTAuniverse??? Though Guam is part of the US....

Not necessarily. Certain cities have made-up names, but I can remember a few real American cities named(Toledo, OH, Chicago, IL, Reddick, FL, Philadelphia, PA, Tampa, FL, and Green Bay, WI have all been mentioned on the radio in different games, and New Brunswick, NJ was seen on a map on "History of Liberty City").

hmmm i have never seen vinewood bar and grill here although we do have a planet hollywood here in guam which this is an obvious parody of! but do i think the next gta is set in guam? nope same with jakarta it just doesnt seem to fit a gta game tbh (this is coming from someone who lives in guam ) if i had to guess along with countless other people the next gta would have to be in vice city or san andreas! but good job in finding that little hidden bit there txdeditor!
