PaulNYC
I'd love it if GTA IV was as realistically close as possible to a real life scheme of a city. The size, the detail, everything to go with it. Perhaps even a scale on the radar to include distance in miles or whatever. It would be pretty awesome if they could make a really large map with alot of highways, a deep countryside, and just alot of cool things on the side. I dislike how different zones and areas clash in GTA IV. Spacing would be good, and a sense of actual depth in a large surrounding area. The way i'm saying it, it probably won't happen, because creating too large of a map would get in the way of marketing the game on the weak little XBOX 360, but hey, maybe they'll make it for PS3 only! Lol, not. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/443834-a-huge-map/ Share on other sites

PaulNYC
San Andreas was large in scale, but it wasn't big enough i think. Most of the game space was either empty or lacked value. The next generation GTA game should be largely-scaled, yet represent some meaning with every inch of design. Xtreme_2010
R* focus on Quality, not Quantity - if you've seen GTA IV. If they plan on making San Andreas remade, it would take a large amount of time. Don't know how long it took to design Liberty City but I would guess about 2-10 months (?) possibly more. smeagol
I wouldn't mind if the next GTA was a city surrounded by country, on a island of course. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/443834-a-huge-map/#findComment-1059840032 Share on other sites

mattymcs
Bigger does not necessarily mean better. I think LC in IV was big enough personally. Certainly no need for any GTA game to be bigger than San Andreas. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/443834-a-huge-map/#findComment-1059840325 Share on other sites

Ash_735
For those saying it can't be done, look at Just Cause 2, the Sialnds are huge, granted they don't have as much content as a GTA Island, but when they have enough room to put the Island from Lost as an Easter Egg and have that bigger than an Island like Bohan then you've got to admire their tactics. I'm not saying I dislike Just Cause 2, although I loved the first one, however in Just Cause 1 and 2, the story is bad, the cutscenes are bad, the graphics for the island are beautiful although the graphics for everything else is mediocre. Whereas R* try to make a perfect game where everything is evenly polished. Would IV have been so good if the story and gameplay had been bad - would the game be good just because it had a HUGE map? Kwandilibro
a huge ass map would suck cuz there wouldnt be any detail. just a repeated look Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/443834-a-huge-map/#findComment-1059840917 Share on other sites
Wenis IV
A huge map would be awesome. Avalanche Studios, who made Just Cause 2, created a HUGE island and the detail is great. I consider Avalanche Studios to be a 'B' Developer, so if Rockstar, who I consider an 'AAA' developer were to make a game that size, then my God I can't imagine how beautiful it would look. Quantity may not equal quality, but who said you can't have both? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/443834-a-huge-map/#findComment-1059840929 Share on other sites

DR1V3N HARD
If anyone here has played Test Drive Unlimited, they had a life-saized map of Oahu. It was very realistic, and has all of the landmarks. It includes the city, the farmland, the mountains, and the beaches. It would be nice to see V on one of the islands.
