I have the save on my SD card now, looking at it on my computer. There are three data files. Two of them are over 500,000 KB, one is 120 KB. I guess that one is the save game.

 

So what kind of editor do I need to try and look at the files?

120kb is not likely. the save is about 4 mb. you use a hex editor. i don't really know how to use it though.i know you can search and the type in the current vehicle nbame, then convert it to hex, then search, the replace it with the hex form of the word hakochou and that should work maybe

that's exactly 462 mb. you're going to need to use an actual xbox 360 hard drive. no one has created a program to open the usb saves.

I think that the Hackuchou is not in TBoGT. But I'll stay optimistic, im not ruling anything out. I just think its only in TLaD. Due to the fact ive never seen one in TBoGT (except for cutscenes), and it turns up alot in TLaD.

You sure? Meh, right now I am trying to convert the words "buffalo" and "hakuchou" into hex. I notice that in some popcycles the Hakuchou is capitalized, and in some it is in lowercase. The hex table has codes for both sets of letters. So I'm just confused . I'll do "buffalo" in lowercase, and "Hakuchou" in uppercase/lowercase. I'll finish it up tomorrow.

 

Probably won't work, but worth a try. So if it doesn't, then there is no way to modify the save files?

you can, and i think that would be the way to do it. but you need a hdd and transfer cable. you cant use a flash drive

You sure about that? I have a 60 GB HDD, but no transfer cable. I can get one if I need to. How come I can't use a flash drive/SD card?

 

My plan is to convert "buffalo" into hex, search for it in that file (or whatever file is the save game), replace that line of code with the hex equivalent of "Hakuchou", and then put the save back onto the SD card, back into the Xbox 360, load it up, drive on over to Brian's safehouse, and prey there is a Hakuchou. Who knows, maybe it'll be bright blue .

well i heard a program for opening the game save folders is in development, but you should get a transfer cable. don't know where they sell them tho. i got mine online.

I'll try searching all 3 of the files for "62 75 66 66 61 6C 6F" (buffalo) and try replacing it with whatever "Hakuchou" is.

 

If that doesn't work, I'll just have to get a transfer cable, transfer the save game to my computer, do all this again, and hope it works.

you cant view the save file the usb. it's within one of the 3 files. all three of the files are like an archive. none of them are the save itself, so it wont work. you're going to have to get a transfer cable. im sorry, but right now thats the only possible way.

You know, this is useless. Probably when I get a transfer cable it still won't work. All this will be a waste.

 

I think I'll just give up, and go ride around on a Double T, or a Vader, or a Bati Custom. Something that you can actually get in the game. Killer, I believe you and all, but I can't find one ANYWHERE. I have searched FOREVER. I have seen plenty of Buffalos, but never a Hakuchou.

 

Case closed. Investigation over.

This still doesn't answer the question of just WHY the Akuma and Hakuchou won't spawn, though. There's gotta be something causing them not to spawn while leaving everything else untouched, but I can't imagine what that could possibly be.

Only I am going to say a thing:

I have seen Hakuchou, nevertheless, not have not seen F-620 or Serrano. SuperD very rarely if you do not ask Henrique or Ingot for it either I have never seen it either in the IVth or in EFLC.

( I have seen APC once)

I see the Serrano and F620 a lot in Alderney, and sometimes in Algonquin. And by Super D do you mean Super Diamond? Or Super GT?

 

See, this is why the Hakuchou MUST be able to spawn. The Buffalo and the Hakuchou are both only in the "rich" group. I have seen the Buffalo normally in Alderny and Algonquin, even when I had not done any Drug Wars or missions with it. So that means the Hakuchou has a slight chance to spawn, because killer and carapapa saw one. But I just don't know what makes it have such a little chance of spawning compared to the Buffalo.

 

Maybe the Akuma's group is broken, and that's why it doesn't spawn. But the one with the Hakuchou isn't, because we have seen Buffalos. So there must be the slightest chance of it spawning, but I just.....

 

hmmm. I noticed something in the cargroup.

Why is the Hakuchou capitalized? Does that exclude it from the group, or make it spawn rarely? Could that explain why we have seen everything else in that group except for a Hakuchou?

I when I see a vehicle great, for example in the triangle the TAMPA, and they do not stop repeating, I paint the car again and another cycle of cars appears, for example Banshee.

i saw a hakuchou at the airport today in free mode. the thing is that you see rare cars everywhere in free mode.

It's just too bad I want it in SINGLE PLAYER. So whether or not it is in multi-player is no use to me.

 

Anyway, carapapa, I might try that trick. I'll take the Buffalo and respray it a few times to see if I can get a Hakuchou to spawn. If not, then I give up.

no, and im about 99% sure that capitalization has no effect, for anything with modding. ive put in values in lower case. doesn't matter i think.

 

 

and @lcstuntman, i thought maybe he might want to drive it around in BOGT, just to know he can do it. some people like tangible proof.

I dunno if the capitalization affects it. It's the only one that seems capitalized, and in TLAD, it isn't. It also isn't capitalized in the NETWORK group (for online play). For all we know, it just might means it'll try and call the vehicle, but there's no entry for "Hakuchou" only "hakuchou".

 

That still doesn't explain the Akuma, though, and why it won't appear. Maybe FASHION really is broken, although it's difficult to tell since Akuma and Hakuchou aside, there's no other vehicles that only appear in FASHION.
