Following the military life of Pvt. Mitchell, a fresh transfer to the 75th Ranger Regiment as he overcomes the addiction of war, and the hardships he is about to face as he serves with America's Finest. New Batch... is a simple training mission that shouldn't be too hard for experienced players.As he progresses through the days, he finds himself being assigned to much more "boring" missions. This is about to change, as convoy duty is not really easy.

 

As the situation in Irag changes, jurisdictions continue to be tested. The militia have taken over the cargo ship, the Zodiac, and have taken its crew hostage. Mitchell and the Rangers are assigned to rescue and extract the crew safely. Meanwhile, Muhammed Farrah Aiziz, a well-know arms dealer and militia warlord, is drawing the ire of High Command with his black market activity...

 

Even though the death of Aiziz was a strong loss to the militia, his leadership is much more important. Intel indicates that his leadership would be making a public broadcast at a disclosed location. Fortunately for Mitchell and the Rangers, several informants have provided the location. It's only a matter of time before they could finally end Aiziz's reign...

 

After a set-up by one of the informants, Mitchell and the Rangers are in deep trouble. They have the attention of not just the town, but the whole city. Their only way out is to fight their way through, but it won't be easy. Super Six One was shot down in the vincinity. Mitchell and Hunter 2-1 are assigned to secure the crash site and wait for evac. It won't be long before the entire militia swarm the crash site, however.

 

After securing 6-1's crash site, Mitchell and Hunter 2-1 are hard pressed to defend the crash site. Things turn for the worse as they continue to fight: for their lives and a way out. After being succesfully extracted out of the "hot stove" of the militia's controlled territory, Mitchell and his unit find themselves being sent to more dangerous and hazardous missions. After the cargo ship, the Prosecutor, sent out a distress beacon, Hunter 2'1 and 2'3 are sent to find out and investigate what happened. Wil you find out what happened to the ship, and get out alive?

Hi there,

 

I tried out your missions and they were interesting overall icon14.gif . I give you some points for each of them.

 

New Batch:

 

- It was quite difficult, all the enemies have a strong accuracy. In the final room, the enemies with shotguns threw me off guard during my 1st playthrough.

- Since it was a speedrun mission, it took me 1.5 minutes to finish it ^.^!....

- Good presentation there, everything is well explained and simple.

 

First Contact:

 

- It was a lot easier, thanks to the minigun abuse and a much wider area to hide.

- It was quite short too, it can be done in 2 minutes.

- Good presentation in the beginning of the mission, it feels like you are in the war against terrorists.

 

You did a great job for designing your missions. Keep up the good work smile.gif .

Nvm, found them.

 

Anyway, I didn't try the "First Batch" mission (cause I don't wanna do a training mission; I know how to shoot a gun tounge.gif ), but I tried the First Contact mission.

 

I have to agree with AznKei, it really did feel like a military mission, as it really felt you were fighting against terrorists. Also, I think it had the look & feel of a MW2 mission. Looking forward to the rest of these missions, keep it up. icon14.gifbiggrin.gif

I agree about the modern warfare part, it really felt like you're in the military.

I'm gonna update this as I play through the missions.

 

New Batch...

I really like the presentation so far. This is a good introduction to the storyline, and it felt very natural - it flows very well. I'm looking forward to the rest of the plot (and as a sidenote, I finished in 43 seconds tounge.gif).

 

First Contact

Once again, the presentation is very nice. You have clear instructions throughout the entire mission, which is always a good thing. The way everything was laid out was awesome as well - it flowed seamlessly between action sequences.

Imma try out "Hornets Nest" later today. I'll edit when I'm done with it.

 

First, I'm going to point out that the mission was IN NO WAY similar to mission in MW2. angry.gif

 

Anyway, the mission was good. I especially liked the war part in the beginning. The parts that got me ticked off a bit, though, was the fighting in the warehouse, which was mainly because I didn't know that the guys in the beginning were actually supposed to follow me... sarcasm.gif

 

Also, throughout the fighting in the warehouse, there was no health or armor, so I was dying throughout the whole mission. I lived, luckily, by using cover, and being more aware

 

Lastly, I think you should have at least added a few cutscenes in the mission, to actually capture the storyline. But it was a good mission, anyway. turn.gif

Tips:

 

*Nearly* any Ranger in the area can follow you to help you in your objective*

There is a reason why there is a supply spawn behind the 1st convoy...

Hey man, it looks good. But you don't have to upload each DYOM seperatly now, you can comress them into .zip . Just wanted to let you know, I will try these missions...

Ok, I played the last two missions you did in this time...

 

The Hornet's Nest:

I see you're obsessed with helicopters flying around the area tounge.gif . Anyways, I found the mission easy because the enemy accuracy is weak also I'm very familiar with the layout of the marketplace since it's the same as the first 2 floors of Smoke's crack palace. You should put some actors in movement, because they just stand there doing nothing at all until I reach their visual fields or shooting at them. And the player, is more like an one-man's army (Rambo), I mean he kill like 40 enemies by himself and then made it to the end with minor injuries, like unreal for an army theme.

 

Lead the Way:

I think your should disable the peds because, this is a kind of mission that really struggle the DYOM limitation, a little more stuffs there would crash the whole mission. It's quite challenging as the enemies, especially the rocket launcher guys, have quite good accuracies. Oh yeah, they blew up the helicopter that keeps following the player and the latter one seems not to care about it tounge.gif .

 

Anything else is great, you really do a lot of intense military action in your missions. No wonder people really like your missions colgate.gif . Well then, keep up the good work icon14.gif .

I won't be uploading my whole GTA3.img. No way. I have SRT3 1.7 and tons of other mods that would take me way too long to upload. Sorry sad.gif

I felt like commenting on your thread about the missions.

 

I like how the missions go, the action is just what I'm looking for, and it is quite a lot of fun to play. There are some bugs in the mechanics, like in The Hornet's Nest I didn't the guys outside, so when I had to clear the market the guys outside had to be killed too. Use the hide tool to prevent that.

 

I had an epic moment in Lead the Way, an RPG fired at the following helicopter and the chopper was 'Oh my beejeezus!' and dodged the rocket. SA's helicopter AI is extremely strong compared to its aeroplane AI lol

 

I can't wait to see the future missions!

Hey Wolf. I really like your Missions because I like Army Missions and you did them good with much action. I liked the beginning of the First Contact Mission where you was on the Bridge with all the Jeeps and Trucks because the atmosphere was like in a war.

And I liked the Low Profile Mission where you had to destroy something with C4.

The Lead The Way Mission was good too. I like it because you had to go through the streets and kill enemies and a Helicopter keeps on you. Of course I'll play your other Missions.

Yo Wolf. I played your new Mission. It was full of action at the beginning and I like this. However after I went to the roof and killed the enemys with the sniper the game crashed sad.gif I would be happy if you could fix it smile.gif

Does it crash before or after your finished sniping the enemies?

 

I'm gonna play it again right now, see if it happens.

 

Edit: played through the whole mission with no crash. Hm...

It crashes everytime after the sniping. Maybe it's because of some of my mods. However I'll try it again later.

 

Edit: Oh! I forgot to take the new one in the folder biggrin.gif I'll try it now.

 

Edit 2: Damn it! It still crashes after the sniping.sad.gif One Question what happens after the sniping maybe I know then what the problem is.

ETA: 8 days to arrival, sir.

 

Act II is almost being released! Get ready for 6-explosive missions ready for deployment! With the war continously shifting, upcoming events continue to change the course of the war, and the lives of Hunter 2'1 and now experienced- MSG. Mitchell. Get ready as the series comes back after such a long hiatus! Meanwhile, play a few of the previous missions to get a taste of the action you've been missing! With lives lost and the action heating up, you can't miss Act II!
