Since Rockstar seem ever so keen to be "fair" and they are "dying" to release the game on an equal footing for everyone does this mean that the next GTA will see a simultaneous release on the 360, PS3 and PC ? I don't need to "recruit" people Rockstars actions do far more damage to their image than I ever could. Still having digs at me eh Ash_735 I see you continue to make excuses for Rockstar which is fair enough. As for Rockstar hating PC gamers hell I think we have entered a whole new era now with Rockstar. They have clearly said they want to be "fair" to all their customers, so naturally that will mean the treat the PC platform the same as the 360. PS3. Oh wait could it be that "fair" only comes into play when it's either the 360 users or PS3 users that might spit their dummy out.

 

Do I say Rockstar hates PC gamers ? no I don't, I don't need to say that, Rockstars actions show exactly how they feel about PC gamers and the PC platform. Also I don't really think that you know Charlie enough... he has common sense, but things like this can get every people with common sense angry... really angry. People were f*cked over with the "Exclusive to X360" bullsh*t already, and after all, we'd get the episodes... but hey, they've even delayed it because thes have to cut some in-game media related stuff. I don't believe this sh*t, and to be honest, if they release these "addons" with the same choppy frame rate and buggy gameplay, as they did with GTA IV, I'll quit playing Grand Theft Auto. I know, nobody cares.

Listen two weeks aren't too much to wait, but the PC gamers are angry because there is a sony (with R*) problem, and they're delaying the PC version for nothing, there is absolutely no reason to delay the PC version.

he wants R* to be fair with them. (us w/e)

OK TheIncredibleMrGQ try this on for size and see how it fits, I still post here because I WANT to be a GTA fan again. I have been a fan of Rockstar ever since they started out as DMA Designs. I have followed their work from lemmings to GTA and I loved their stuff. Even in the GTA 3 era I still found that despite some horrendous technical issues with the games on the PC I loved their work. Now in the GTA 4 era I came to the conclusion enough is enough for me I am sick and tired of being treated like a second class customer by Rockstar. However I still WANT to be a GTA fan again, it's just the way Rockstar behaves makes it increasingly difficult to actually justify being a "fan" of anything they do on the PC.

 

Why am I so negative about Rockstar ? well aside from the fact they don't actually give me anything positive to post about, I personally believe criticism of a company is a healthy thing and right now with regards to Rockstar on the PC there isn't much to post in way of praising the company. I would love to buy EFLC for the PC, I am not going to because I know the DLC will be a complete and utter mess and I don't believe I should pay my hard earned money to purchase a broken product. I also personally object to Rockstar spending nearly a year lying to PC and PS3 fans about the DLC and do not feel I should reward Rockstar financially by buying the DLC.

 

Now if Rockstar had made the decision to release the PC version on schedule I would have been praising them overall for it. I would agree it sucks for PS3 owners and would have sympathy for them but the delay was brought about by Sony. In short if Rockstar do something worth praising I will quite happily praise them for it, I am just waiting for them to actually do something worth praising for on the PC format.

 

As for me continuing to post here, I believe all my posts are within the rules and I am not going around generally "trolling" in every thread saying "Rockstar sucks". I am posting in this topic because this subject interests me and I want to take part in the discussion. If you feel I am being "disruptive" then please report my posts the mods and admins are pretty decent folk here and if they come to the conclusion I am causing problems they will get rid of me

I think it's the fact that he at one point, loved the game(s). What R* has done up to this point has angered a lot of people. Sure you can say f*ck it and leave it. But how would anything ever get better? I think it's very constructive to keep the point valid on what R* has done/is doing. People really do NEED to realize that getting f*cked over and over by greed shouldn't be taken lightly. We really should think hard about continuing to support them. They haven't showed us anything in terms of support. Oh yeah release patch after patch that fixes something and breaks another. Ship the game without game play elements (tickers, clock tower, etc.) then patch them in later. Leave out the moon through 5 patches. Sure they're not game breaking, but w/e. It's still not complete.

 

This whole 2 week thing doesn't really mean much to me. I'll buy it anyway. I love the game. I hate the company. I am a gamer after all. I know I don't help by feeding the greed, but ugh parachutes! Hehe. The GTA series is my all time favorite games of all time. I really can't, at this point just say f*ck the games 'cause the company sucks ass. I know I contradict myself here, but hopefully you get wtf I mean. Hehe.

I don't think they quite hate PC gamers, I just think that they like money the most, and those who bring them the most of it will have their attention, which is clearly the case with consoles, with low piracy rates and everything...

as for this exclusivity period, hey, they got 50 millions for that, and now they want some more...

If you want PC to be treated fairly, get someone to pay 50 millions and we will have it released few months before the consoles...

When R* released IV, at that time it was a game which almost no one had an actual PC that could run the game, anyone who wanted IV on PC had to buy/upgrade it first. Now SA has been around for 5 years, and I believe there were no major problems, neither for the PC gamers neither for R* (lets not speak about consoles). But yes, its is a fact that R* wants money,

(who doesn't ?). Many people say its just a game... its not really, its an era, its a lifestyle, it matters for each and every gamer.

Yes I know all about the exclusivity deals after all I was the one branded a "cook", "delusional", "retarded" and living in a fantasy land when I was telling people nearly a year ago that this DLC would come to the PC and PS3. However Rockstars actions of releasing the DLC on the xbox 360 for 50 million are disgusting in my view. Now you say "well that is business" well that may be business but it doesn't mean I have to support that behaviour does it ? By buying this DLC on the PS3/PC you are validating what they did and giving them a reason to do it again next time.

 

I know all the "business" reasons behind many of the actions of Rockstar but just because Rockstar has "business" reasons for doing something doesn't mean I should blindly accept that and reward them for treating me like a second class customer. As Ash_735 said there are probably business reasons behind not releasing the PC version before the PS3 version, that doesn't mean I have to accept that especially when we all damn well know that if the roles were reversed they would never hold the PS3 version back for the PC version.

Us PC gamers are treat as second class customers and it's disgusting.

Our games may be cheaper (in most cases) and we may have more extras, but that alone just simply doesn't make up for the lack of support and respect we get compared to console gamers.

Sure there's more pirating on the PC but pirating rates on the 360 are anything but 'low'.

(The only exception is Manhunt 2 PC which isn't allowed in my country due to stupidity in the ratings board.
