freak2121
I hate summer between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm. Those hours are like hell in the Summer of Vancouver compared to Fall and Winter.
kevin2006rhs
I usually hated winter because of work. Being a cable guy sucked during the heavy snow times. When I moved back to PA and was working somewhere else, the winter was just another reason not to do outside work. Plus I have a jeep so it wasn't too bad. Now when I got my new house and bike in December all I did was look forward to the Spring thaw and Summer sun. I have already taken advantage of the 60+ degree days. Hell, today was about 70F so I washed my Wrangler, Cobalt, and Honda Shadow. Then I took the top off of my Jeep, cleaned my garage, and I parked it in there. No need to put the top up if I am not going to be driving in the cold night or lock up the Jeep if it isn't sitting out.
smeagol
I like spring. Not too cold or too hot.
gtathebest4ever
I can't stand heat so I hate summer. I hate those days when the temperature is over 40 degrees and you can't move a limb because you're drowning in your own sweat. I like the winter because you can adjust the temperature so it's perfect for you. There isn't a good way to cool down in the summer, but in the winter just put a blanket over you and you're fine. ghost of delete key
I'll take summer over winter anytime. I'd rather be hot than cold. Luck today is the equinox, this officially marks my spring fever mode. I'm itchin' for barbecue weather. vargihate
I'm a spring guy myself. Jun/Jul/Aug/Sep can reach up to 45C.. If there's no sea or A/C around then you're in trouble. Our winter ranges around 20C which is cold for me.
trip
I live down the street from GoDK, and even though summer can be down right disgusting around here, I will totally take it over winter. Although, there is no beating spring and autumn 'round these parts. And WHAM...out of no where spring hit us this week. I can't even stress how f*cking great it is right now. It smells great, the natives are happy. The change to spring is really funny on a social level around here. All of the sudden the people that would normally kill you (or at least bitch your head off) are all happy and giving you their empty shopping cart in the super market parking lot. I even managed to get most of the spring cleaning done today. The funniest part about that is taking down the outdoor xmas lights. Oh the neighbors must love that we keep the xmas lights up until now - and my wife insists on turning them on every night My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
ghost of delete key
Heh, look out, the Mummers' Summer series is coming... There's nothing like sucking down a cheesesteak and a brew and heading over to Two Street near the Mummers Museum to hear the string bands. No standing in the cold or buying tickets to the Convention Center. @ tripmills: Haven't been in University City for a while; does Drexel still have concerts in the ballpark there? A few years back in May I saw Sonic Youth and George Clinton's P-Funk All-Stars there. Quite awesome, but it was pretty cold, even for May. Anyway, summer in Philly rocks. Beats the hell out of winter. It makes a proper South Street pub crawl much more comfortable. Greek Week is coming... trip
Drexel still has concerts in the ball park. Friday jazz in the park(up the street) has kinda morphed into funk in the park. Toss in the fact that Dock Street opened up a restaurant across the street and it is perfect - sit out side and drink some fine beers while listening to some great funk. Festival day in my neighborhood has only been getting better and better music acts. We now get bands like Chaka Khan and Kool and The Gang. Yes, you can't beat summer in this city. The music makes the 100+% humidity almost bearable. My crappy games at MyCrappyGames.com Free copy of Save The Puppies and Kittens
