Rent>A<Line99
The french player says "f*ck you", because saying swear words in english is all that matters.

Legacy-666_
If your going to have your mic switched on at least say something. Singing doesnt count (saw a player today named LadyGaga142 or something like that) and all they did was sing Ladygaga songs. What the? Then theres the guy who over and over says " shut the f*ck up". Even though no-ones talking. say something interesting or switch off.

xChaos Reigns
I only have the xbox 360 headset and I use it in most free mode games. Apparently I have a British accent even though I was born and raised in NZ. It's especially annoying when I'm mocked because of my accent. A tip to find out who is playing music over the mic or is just being a real dick over the mic is to: Open your phone and go to phone book. Go to each of the individual players and while the annoying person is playing music or talking begin to mute each player. Eventually you'll find the offender when it goes silent. Then you can mute them or target them etc. I'm not sure how many people know about this tip but it has been very useful for me. I can't verify this tip for the ps3 as I only have an xbox. Barry Spock
I use the Logitech G330. The sweet thing about this headset is that it comes with a USB adapter. It actually has two separate plugs for in/out (mic/earphones) signals. So what I do is plug the mic into the USB adapter and the USB adapter into my PS3. Then I plug the earphones plug into my tv (using an extension cord). Then I route the voices through my tv speakers, using the method above, and the mic through my headset. Now I hear both the voices and the game sound through my earphones. This way I can control how loud voices are in comparison to the game sound (by adjusting the game sound in the game's menu) and there's no feedback from the game sound through my mic, something that happens quite often on PS3 because most mics are really sensitive The only downside to this headset is that it's a bit uncomfortable to wear for extended periods of time. Ah - good thread revival. I was thinking about this too. I have the turtle bach headphones - set up the same way as is booze t's in the quote. But I can't figure out how to get the game's sound coming through the headphones. I think it's got something to do with the korean flatscreen... the red and white plugs don't seem to work. And - question for anyone on a PS3 -- I have mine wirelessly connected to the broadband router -- would that affect sound quality? because most of the time the other players voices sound really scratchy and difficult to understand. *** But yeah - sometimes it's good. I've made a few PSN buddies through talking on the mic. A couple of English 13y.o.s -- lol - As an older guy (36) before having a mic. I kind of assumed everyone playing must be at least 20, so it's interesting finding out how many kids there are out there. And another time doing Racing with a couple of american guys - was heaps more fun when you can say something to them when you're coming through on the inside. Still all very civil though - so far, I found that it people speak the same lang. they're generally polite.

You can either plug the green plug from your Turtle Beach (I'm assuming it's green, 'cause mine is) and plug it in the headpone output of your TV, or, if your TV doesn't have such an output, use the splitters that came with the Turtle Beach. Take the red and white from your PS3 and the green from your TB and plug it into the splitters. Make sure you select "A/V" in the sound output menu of the PS3. You can then also plug the splitters into the TV, if you want to keep the option of playing the game sound through your television.
JasonAW
I have a PS3 mic, but I don't talk much. I hate the sound of my voice, but I have decided that I'm gonna use it more. I mostly used to hear what other players were saying. I once joined a game and a guy said "this Jason looks like a prick". I just got here what did I do? lol

MiddayXpress
I have no headset at the moment but will get one sometime soon. Interestingly enough, when I play Fight Night Round 4 online, I can hear the other player (when they have mic/headset) through my TV speakers. It doesn't seem to work for any other game. Immeco
I mostly use my 360 headset to talk to my friends. I'll listen in to other people sometimes, and if they seem chill I'll try to strike up conversation and such.
ugotsmoked
The key is not to plug your headset in until the match starts, so they don't know you have a headset...
lowracin
I use the same bluetooth I use with my phone. It works perfectly fine with my cell phone, but when I'm chatting in a FM room my voice sounds so distant, even if I talk right into the mic.
