Hey Owen--I think this is the right idea. Your settings deserve their own thread. In fact I think there should be a seperate forum devoted to ENB so we won't have to wade through a single thread hundreds of posts long to try to find this or that specific ENB we're looking for ...

Anyway--I tried your latest set and I'm not sure why but it doesn't look anything like all the screens I've seen posted. One question, just off the top of my head--am I supposed to have Definition enabled? (I'm not sure that is the right word--whatever that sharpness option is, when you press the "P" key?)

In all the other enbs I've used, I have Definition set to off to get the blur effect, but thanks to the enb I still get a very sharp image ... with your latest set for some reason on my PC everything looks all blurry when I hit "P" ...

hmmm have you set emb on using shift+f12 see i created it for non enb users aswell. but you have to remember it depends on what system specs you have smile.gif also when enb is enabled you dont need the p button although i manualy set it to work in enb.

these are from other people who kindly put together videos of my settings.

So, does that mean it defaults to off with your .ini? The way I'm used to is that it is by default, on ...

Also, I just realized you are using the VisualIV shaders .... I'll have to try those and see if it makes a difference.

Can you really see that many stars in New York? orly.gif In Chicago you can see like 7 stars at night. Here in the suburbs you can see maybe 20 or 25 on a clear night.

yeh try it and let me know. smile.gif and i know its a silly question but you are using my new ini aint you.

in my ini look for

[DEPTHOFFIELD]

DOFQuality=1 <----change to 0

DOFNumberOfPasses=2

DOFFocusRange=50

DOFBlurinessRange=15

DOFFadeTime=200

DOFFiltered=1

let me know if it works smile.gif

i dunno im just tweaking and testing. thats all its progress picture. thats why i rely on feedback. but if you think about it how high i am in that chopper out the way of light down below then yeh i think you might see that many, but i know when im on the ground look up in the city i can hardly see any. so it works smile.gif

Dude i found a way to make my resolution work cuz for some strange reason it kept going to your resolution and i also had to set ForceAntialiasing=false to make my resolution stay the way it's suppose to be but i have a problem.

user posted image

Is it because i made force AA false? It was the only way i can get resolution to stay my resolution but DUDE... i never played GTA IV so smooth before! It runs smooth and i never lagged. WOW but.. the bloom man.. so ugly.

hey man click edit take ya ini settings off its too much in this thread, do that first and second try changing this UseEffect=1 to 0

As you can see noone has had this problem, or adjust the bloom, you need to tweak it also to your own specs..im glad about fps everyone has been saying that smile.gif

I'm thinking the same thing that effect you advise me to try didn't do a damn thing. It's still the same thing what i posted in that pic. Has this ridicolous glow everywhere and it's horrible dude. You gotta fix this so we can use your settings. I also think the darkness is a TAD bit too much too. Brighten it a bit. I don't know what to do with this stupid glow lol. I'm not taking out the config because it has made my fps smooth and i haven't skipped once lol. thoughts or theories how to get rid of it?

no man you seem like the only person with this glow, so my settings are fine. and i dont hear anyone else saying they have that problem. you need to tweak the ini to work for you smile.gif you can be in game and tweak it at the same time. skip over to the desktop when playing and open the ini and change it, then once your done save it, then go back into the game.

Jkm have you got this glow issue smile.gif

Ok i will try that, i'm still a muppet (idiot) when it comes to tweaking the ini files. I'll see what i can do to get rid of that horrid glow. Let us know if anyone has the same problem as i do. ODD! Be back to report again later.

or maybe try to turn off enb wait a few seconds and then turn it on again.

I was getting sometimes such strange things but after turning off and on everything was fine (happened through fast time traveling^^)

Download what? is that for him or me? Dude i already tried turning it off and on, nothing changes it ever. It's kinda lame. I'm stumped. I went through every command and can't nail what's causing this. I'm just gonna have to brainstorm this. As for the shader download is that for him or something? Where do i download this?

Copy over shaders? the pc and common files only? not the other ebn series? i guess i will. I hope this will solve the problem.

Ok dude what i did was tried to tweak anything in enb file and i had a theory why my lights were too bright so i found light sprite and lowered the nbr and i can see my car front lights well and it's more dimmed BUT it's still glowing down the street off the street lights. i can see the street lights better but the ground that glows off the street is too bright and i cannot even see the texture of my taillights cuz it's all RED glow and it's bad. I wonder how i can reduce the glow on these lights? What should i do? I know it has something to do with light sprite area and...the light 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and so on. The Intensity i lowered it worked but i still have these glow around town and my car lights. At least i can see the lights better but i can't get rid of the bloom that glows in the middle of the street like the pic i shown. I am so close to nailing this.

Thanks to wonderblunt for his help but i still got this annoying glow where the street lights are and they are so bright when a car comes by. Sorry if pic is dark. It doesn't look dark ingame.

Your settings are awesome, especially because they dont demolish the framerate and it looks really good. but:

I have a problem similar to pcnuttienoob, but the glow doesn't bother me that much. what REALLY bothers me, (idk if it shows up on your game or not) is the freaking blob/ugly glow of the tail/headlights. I like to be able to actually see the detail insted of just a light. biggrin.gif

(however there is actually a bit of glow in the cutscenes,that's a bit odd)

also FYI, I just reinstalled the game, installed visualIV 1.5.2enb, enb series and your config files.
