themethodbehindthemadness
Hi, I hope this is an okay place to put this. I'm sorry if it isn't. I would like the opinions of the artists of GTA and the members of the forum on my art skill. I would prefer any GTA artist to contact me via messaging. This is a 2009 Pierce Contender Pumper apparatus that I have created for another computer game, rendered in that game engine with thier "Super Shaders." It is a low poly model with 10396 polys and 12758 vertices and it mainly uses 6 2048x2048 texture files, including alpha, normal, specular, ambient occulsion, enviroment and micro detail shaders. This model was created in 3d Max, Photoshop and the game engine's native 3d modeling program. It has been referenced from over 300 pictures and technical drawings, including 150 self taken pictures. This version has been worked on on and off for a year, but the concept has been in development for ten years and is the center piece of my current portfolio. It is still WIP. I welcome harsh criticism. If you think it looks like Paris Hilton's a** crack, let me know. Thank you. -Tim
EduardKoeleJuck
Good job. I think this would look great in GTA IV.
Ats.
That's just awesome! You should import this to SA or IV.
LCstuntman
I agree with the posts above, this would look amazing in GTA IV! And if by "artists of GTA" you mean Rockstar employees, there aren't any here (except one helping with PC troubleshooting, but that's all he does)
Freakorama
Waaaaaaaaaay too high quality for a GTA game, You'd have to optimize it for a lower poly count before you think of sticking it in there, putting it in with that quality is just crude. Andrew
This isn't about a vehicle that is going into GTA, this is a vehicle model that he has worked on. He doesn't want crits about it being too high poly for GTA. As a decent 3D model.
Narcis_speed6
the model looks very good btw , i just wanted to point you in the right directions if you want it in game
themethodbehindthemadness
Thank you Narcis, but I don't really want to port it to GTA for copyright issues. I am in fact trying to get the opinion of a Rockstar employee. I'm a college student majoring in video game art and the opinions and advice of such people would mean alot. It is possible I will seek employment by Rockstar in the future.
