ZayDaGawd
1.) America is cleary the most diverse nation in the world. We have cities(big cities and suburbs) that are majority black, some white, some hispanic. Also alot of cities with a huge asian population. 2.) The crime is the highest for developin nations. Sure it may be crime higher den us in undeveloped nations, but who would want to play in south africa or mexico, where its pretty much all slums. 3.)We influenced gangs around the world. MS13 and 18th street are all over the americas. Crips and bloods in several continents as well. 4.) We have the toughest police force. Not as far as strict laws go but as far as how the police go to catch a criminal and the resources they have, we have the "best"

SmC12
1.) What's that got to do with anything, all countries have mixed ethnic groups. 2.) RomanViking
I agree with brownbear's points. And about diversity... every city that's not major, in the United States, is essentially the same (sh*tty) town. highway, suburb, drive-thru, parking lot, office tower, isolation, and complete reliance on privately own cars. But since GTA always takes place in the major cities this might not matter.

You wonder why Americans have a bad rep... 1. Ever been to Canada? There are cities like Toronto in which over 50% of the population are immigrants. 2. Ever been to the Lowlands of Scotland? Interestingly, that's where Rockstar is from. Northern England ain't to pretty either. 3. Ever been to Naples or Sicily? You might recognise a few "gangs". And no, they didn't come there from the US. 4. Ever been to France? I don't know about effectiveness, but in terms of "toughness" and "bad-assness" they win big time. The US police have nothing, I repeat, nothing on the sheer merciless brutality of the French police. Nothing. Notice that the common denominator is "ever been to?". The only conclusion is that you're a basement traveller who knows nothing about the rest of the world, which might explain why you're so keen on keeping the series in the States. Not true, and there are slums in the US too (ghettos etc.) Yes but the USA is not over 80% slums like some of those countries. 3.) Not true, as brownbear stated. RandomFishPerson
I think this guy is yovans replacement. just because you dont seem to be able to leave yor front door does not instantly make your country the most "crime ridden" place on earth. and those are not good reasons why GTA should stay in america, I dont think they diserve the titles of bad reasons. SmC12
3.)Yes the US influenced gangs around the world, which is why there is crips,bloods,ms13 and 18th street in different continents.WOW crips and bloods! The first gangs to ever set foot in the USA did not live there. And we are talking about gangs (as in HUGE gangs like some of the Mafia gangs) not some street gangs with people running around with an Uzi just for 'bling'. I have never heard of any major international crime that involved a Blood/Crip gang I have heard about bank heists by international gangs from China, Japan etc. and they have much more Influence than any other gangs. (get some facts first) That's why they're classed as 'street gangs' because they are just in the 'streets' they don't plan oraganised crime and have Hitmen etc. they just smoke weed and sit on a street corner, that is not influence. We house more inmates than any other nation, so we must be doing something right Or something wrong If you want GTA to be set in the USA so badly then post in the other topics, don't make a new topic about how America is "the best" (what, because you have more crime, immigrants, and unemployement that makes it a better country.?) I have nothing against the USA (been there various times) but there is nothing special about high crime rates etc. unless you are some wannabe gangbanger. And this is FACT - everything you said in your OP is not true US didn't influence gangs, it has very high crime but not the highest, it is not "clearly" the most diverse nation, and it does not have the toughest police. - That to me counts as bragging (and i'm not saying that because i'm 'insecure', i'm saying it becauseit's true), you are bragging about crime . GTA V will most likely take place in the USA but it's not because of the reasons you said, it's because they are familiar with it and obviously enjoy working on US cities evn though they are made in Britain. I think this guy is yovans replacement. just because you dont seem to be able to leave yor front door does not instantly make your country the most "crime ridden" place on earth. and those are not good reasons why GTA should stay in america, I dont think they diserve the titles of bad reasons. lol i'd agree with that. BrownBear
If you seriously believe britain doesnt have gangs look up the krays and richardsons. The richardsons used to nail people to the floor and cut their toes off, if thats not crime forgive me i have it wrong. More recently in Sheffield, a young boy was stabbed repeatedly, he then went to a barber three days later he was armed with a glock while he stood in the doorway of a barber shop were he was shot twice by a gangster armed with a sawn off shotgun. Also look up the peel dem crew, tottenham boys, rettendon range rover murders, arifs, clerkenwell syndicate, noonans, yardies and the rhys jones murder.
