junkie2115 Posted March 16, 2010 Share Posted March 16, 2010 We All know the GTA 3 beta trailer that was in 2001.. well i was looking up stuff and i found some info GTA III Beta Trailer in the trailer the song playing in the backround is called Tom Novy - Back to the streets and this is what i found out "Tom Novy is an actual singer who composed some of the songs for Head radio in GTA III. He was rumored to have originally appeared as the original DJ of Head radio who would give you some missions. But strangely, he and this song, "Back to the Streets", were removed. Unfortunately, his model was corrupted so it can't be used, but luckily, his model is safe and untouched on the PS2 disc and can be converted over to the PC version. Although he was said to be the original protagonist for the game," has anyone heard or seen anything related to anything above?? im just wondering.. I can confirm his model in the PC version is useless: it's very low-poly and when you try to walk the game crashes. A link to a converted PS2 model would be very much appreciated. Tom Novy (real name Thomas Reichold) is a German DJ and has a website which can be found here. I doubt he was ever meant to be the protagonist. I'm told nový means "new" or "newcomer" in Czech, so that may explain the rumors. See also this topic and this topic, which also has the German trailer you posted. But he was taken out of the game and now he's a mod.. and lantyz said.. it was be very nice to see a Link conversion of the Novy Model.. but now all we have to look back on is the Novy mod.. but yea thanks for the replies.
