The Guru Posted March 17, 2010 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Okay. The actual font costs money but the alternative is Arial Black. The method I use to create the text is this: -You type out the text in Photoshop. Give it a 3 pixel center stroke. -The stroke has to be a gradient because that's how you achieve the gradient blur. -Duplicate this layer three times. Now change one of the layers stroke position to outside and the other inside, and one jsut keep in the center. -Then change the original layers stroke to 2 pixel and color white. -Then give all of the layers 0% fill (this makes the original color of the text disappear and the stroke is the only thing left) -Now, merge the layers that haev a gradient stroke but keep out the white stroked layer. -Then give layer that you just merged a Gaussian blur. Give any amount that looms suitable for you. -Then give the white stroke layer a gaussian blur but not as much as the toher layer. It should be clearly visible. -To the white stroke blur layer, give around 90% opacity so that it is not as well separated out. The last thing you have to do is the stars, there are many methods to do this. Custom shapes, brushes, vectors and so on.
