Lurch
Get a Viper, yo. If you're going for a car you can't afford in groups 15-20, then at least go all out. If your heads in the clouds, shoot for the stars! Edited March 31, 2010 by Lurch
Gundog
I decided. Around the end of April or the beginning of May I'll be getting me a Renault 5 1.1 Campus (I could use a 4-door) or a R5 1.4. I know the GT Turbo was a bad idea for a first-timer, but I got my head up in the clouds after mastering dad's Volvo V70. I have forgotten the fact that the Volvo is a modern car with ABS, traction control, disc brakes, and weighs a tonne and a half. A cheap weakling, but its something I should train on and its something I won't regret if I crash. Thanks everyone for giving me advice, it's much appreciated. After everyone giving me sh*ts about the GTT, I quit the idea and decided to buy it sometime later as a project car, possibly busted. As this topic has no use, a mod is free to lock it, but if you guys want to help me more, feel free to post. thanks again. dog_day_sunrise
Good choice. The cheaper and sh*tter your first ever motor, the less gutted you'll be when you inevitably wrap it around something. I'm all for people buying a track toy along with their first car though. I did just that and never looked back, at least there's nothing more than the value of the car to loose on a track. I recommend it for all young drivers, more than anything in order to sort those who can handle difficult, complicated high speed situations from the people who should be prescribed low-power hatches for the rest of their lives.
