kintar1
I'm sure there is an easy fix for this, and I will come across as an idiot, but I have no idea how to fix it myself. I was playing Multiplayer last night on the PS3 and one time after I died, my controls got switched a bit. Now, I have seen a lot of glitches in this game (like no cars anywhere), but this was weird ... what it did was change the direction pad controls. I can't get the phone to come up ... ever. If I hit UP, I cycle between my assault rifle and uzi. If I hit LEFT, it gives me my pistol. If I hit RIGHT, it gives me my grenades). Hitting DOWN still works right. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Have you ever heard of such a problem? I tried shutting down the entire system, turning it off and all that, but it did nothing. And now I can't even start a multiplayer game because my phone won't come up. It would almost be funny if it wasn't so annoying. I didn't make any changes before it happened. And I've tried changing the controls on the menu and that doesn't work. I would think that maybe my controller was fried, but it very specifically brings up certain weapons, depending on the button I press. Very strange. Any help would be greatly appreciated. NTAuthority
This weapon switching using the D-Pad is actually a feature of GTA IV, and was shown in one of the earlier missions. As far as I remember, it's caused by holding L1 and pressing a button on the D-Pad. Since you're likely not actually holding it all the time, I guess that button is stuck on your controller either logically or physically. Inactive in GTA/R* title modification indefinitely pursuant to a court order obtained by TTWO. Good job acting against modding!
