Aussiebushmatt
I told myself I had outgrown Pokemon but hey, it's still a videogame, right? Plus, Gold was my favourite back in the day.

Rhoda
Never heard of them. Care to expand? HeartGold & SoulSilver Essentially remakes of Gold and Silver, released just over 10 years ago. Absolute gems of games, and I can't wait until the 26th to get my legitimate copy over here in the UK.

Truth. Gold and Silver were my all time favorite Pokemon games. Actually...they were my first video game I think. lol. Lethal Nizzle
Series went down hill after Crystal IMO. I own Yellow, Silver, Crystal and Ruby, and I used to play them religiously. Silver/Crystal used to be my favourite, epic story and the twist halfway through the game in both is brilliant. Haven't played any Pokémon games since I was about ten, haven't had any interest on replaying them but the memories are still there.
JOSEPH X
Thanks, Pokemon is something that completely passed me by, altho I do know it's massively popular
Canoxa
Enlighten me. I once felt like playing all the Pokemon games. I loved the first generation games - I played easily through Red and Yellow. Gold and Silver? Sure, I got a bit bored with Crystal and I left off there. Why? It's the same bloody plot. How can people get excited about a remake of a game that borrows the plot from the original game?
Rhoda
I think HG/SS is supposed to introduce a new generation of children and players to the Pokemon series, especially to a pair of games that were epic in scale and content. They were a remarkable step-up from Generation I and while G/S detract nothing from the original games, they truly did feel like a step-forward. Children at 12/13 years old now were barely 3 years old when the original games came out. I dare say G/S had a degree of complexity, that's what made them great. Offering hardcore trainers statistics to drool over as well as retaining a casual feel meant that the player could carve any journey they wanted. I think it's a great opportunity for a new audience to relive a golden game. I'll get off my soapbox now, haha. I just loved those games as a kid. Still do. LittleBlueTroll
Ill never out grow pokemon These games were legend! (At least up until crystal) Gold was probably my favourite, so ill defiantly be getting this little gem
mrpain
I'm definitely getting HeartGold. I love playing the Crystal version. The plot was the only memorable one out of all the Pokemon games. I've played the Diamond version and while it was okay, I missed the simple pick-up-and-play tradition. But one thing I did like however is that it focused on the adventure. The trailers for HeartGold and SoulSilver are great! Love the 3D Ho-Oh and Lugia. And the kid in me is saying HO-OH OWNS LUGIA!!!! FTW!!!!
Robinski
If I had a DS I'd be all over this. Pokemon was the f*cking sh*t when I was little and Gold and Silver was definitely the pinnacle of the franchise. I guess I'd started to outgrow it by the next round of games, but it just seemed to go downhill with Ruby and Sapphire. I'm not gonna go out and buy a DS just for one game, but if I did have one I wouldn't even need to think twice. Of course, it would be purchased over the internet because I couldn't face the sales assistant when buying a pokemon game while simultaneously being a 17 year old male. Rick88
My Soul Silver is already on the way from Amazon. I should get it sometime this week, probably Tuesday or Wednesday. I can't wait, I haven't played Pokemon in ages, I'm not into the newer generation of Pokemon, but Silver was the sh*t back in the day. I told myself I would buy it again if they ever remade it ...and well here we are
mrpain
Its getting some good reviews. Thank God! But can anyone tell me what the f*ck is a PokeWalker? Oh and can you walk with your Pokemon in the game without your PokeWalker?
Rhoda
You can walk with your Pokemon behind you in the game, yeah. Any Pokemon too. So long as it's in your top slot, it'll join you on your travels like Pikachu did in Yellow. Also, the PokeWalker is like a pedometer where you can take your Pokemon with you (only one though) on the move, so you can raise it while you walk. It'll be a scheme to make kids go out and get exercise, before they realise you could tie it the wheel of your bike and spin the while a few thousand times. Me? I'll be attaching it to my wanking arm. Never before has Pokemon been so perverse. I'll have the strongest Pikachu in all the land.

I didn't think it would be so easy, but that there is the point where I realised that not even something as innocent as Pokemon is immune to perversion. I literally lol'd though. Kippers
I don't care if it's Pokemon, they're worth buying a DS for. Along with Diamond/Pearl, LeafGreen/FireRed and Platinum. Biggest slice of childhood nostalgia I could ever have Edited March 15, 2010 by kippers. 習うより慣れろ

Bernard Jazz
I realised that not even something as innocent as Pokemon is immune to perversion. You caught a wild Metapod! Give a nickname to Metapod? Metapod is now called Penis! Penis used Harden! Penis used String Shot! I still enjoy my old pokémon games, I only have Yellow and Crystal but I still play them sometimes.
