Function-X- Posted March 14, 2010 Share Posted March 14, 2010 Hello, So me and [sAK*]KING_OF_SA were trying to do some cool new looking heathaze for our effects, but it kinda never change the way it appears.. in effects.fxp you can set a heathaze to appear with any other effect, but still it doesn't really do a huge difference, it looks like moving upward lines.... ? Rockstar default heathaze texture is sphere_CJ which is a 2D looking circle and it exist in effectsPC.txd we tryed many kind of textures and codes but it still look like moving lines, it's the very exact same like the weather heathaze and actually if you zoom at some effects with heathaze you will see white moving lines at the very bottom of the screen... anybody have infos about the heathaze ? it would be great if we can do something like saints row 2 blur or something ( i know i keep dreaming ) but it would be great if we can change the way those lines appear... [SAK*]KING_OF_SA Posted March 14, 2010 Share Posted March 14, 2010 - black alpha texture keeps lines. - inverted texture keeps lines. - moving heathaze code to top keeps lines. - deleting all numinfos but heathaze code keeps lines. - setting 1st texture to NULL crashes the game so that means hearhaze code uses its texture somehow. - SRCBLENDID: X and DSTBLENDID: Y when X and Y are any value keep lines. - lines look like squares and their speed and size changes while they move. Post the effect header and the whole heathaze prim here. In my casse it fixed for all but jetthrust whoose heathaze disappeared and i had to return to lines. Differences: - My heathaze follows effect's rules (force, emlife, speed, angle...) - I can blend other effects if they were not coded before (gunsmoke's heathaze blends smoke, it's awesome) - When i see it it's like it's more detailed and if i look carefully i can see my texture.
