Movies that are a lot like GTA

GTA SA is said to be influenced from a movie called Boyz N The Hood.  Also, on TV once I saw a movie called Dirty which I guess was influenced by GTA SA.

Wrong, GTA SA had very little in common with Boyz N The hood, only the city where it took place. Hell GTA SA took place in gangton(aka compton) and Boyz n the hood took place in crenshaw(westside southcentral)

You have to admit the theme was similar, black south central la youths and hip hop.

 

Story no but the first half draws the themes inspiration from boyz n the hood and menace 2 society.

Umm no, Like I said only the CITY is the same, they dont even take place in the same part of south central(Boyz n the hood is westside south central and SA is eastside south central)

There was really nothing in common with either movie. In all honesty, SA prolly had more in common with the movie 'Colors' and the movie 'South Central' than any of those movies.

Uh no. Go watch Menace 2 Society, and Boyz-N-Da-Hood then talk to me about relation. For me? I'd have to say Lion King referencing GTAII.

But rockstar DID base it of these films, they've said that, wanna deny that the to are similar be my guest but the fact is that they DID base it off of those two films

I've always found Payback similar to GTAIII. Protagonist gets betrayed by friend and girlfriend and gets shot. Works his way back up to get revenge and his money.

I thought that movie was more like Max Payne.

I'm really surprised that no one mentioned 15 minutes... It's a great movie if you ask me, and even the plot seems to be a base of Niko's story...

I love that film, the main guys acting was brilliant.
