Mince Posted March 13, 2010 Share Posted March 13, 2010 Am I the only one who is having lots of problems with gang wars? I am on my 30th or so, and to me, there are much harder than drug wars in BoGT. Here's why... - In BoGT, most drug wars had enemies at a stationary position, so you could easily run to cover and blow them away one by one. TLaD has more moving targets, however, and even when they do stop it's hard to find cover because they completely surround you. And, of course, you are much more vulnerable on a bike than in a big ass Cavalcade. I admit that the sawn-off shotgun does pretty good drive-bys, but the Street-sweeper is way more helpful in close range (so can't have both shotguns), and the SMG just isn't that good for taking out 5 or 6 cars of other Uzi/SMG wielding gangsters. It seems that the Gold SMG in BoGT was much more helpful for drive-bys. - It just seems like the enemies are way more bunched together and there are more of them, and, as I said earlier, they tend to surround you a lot. - The other Lost members are pretty useless. They usually die off in a few seconds, leaving me with 2-3 stars and about 60 guys trying to kill me. I'm not sure if I made a good point, but I tried comparing this to Drug Wars since I played them first and they were so much easier... does anyone else agree with my opinions? Are you calling Clay and the other guy before? I did that every time. They automatically show up for me about 90% of the time. But they too get shot down quickly, even at 100% hardness. I really hate R* now for making these stupid Gang Wars where you have (and I am not joking, this is probably an exact number) 60 f*cking assholes trying to murder you with M4s and Shotguns. I'm just done with it. And there's no APC or Buzzard to help me, which I sometimes used in Drug Wars..... For example, I just had to go and shoot some people under the highway on Charge Island. There was no cover anywhere at all, besides the bridge posts (and the stupid AI crowds up on you instead of getting in cover themselves, so I had to keep moving). Bikes obviously aren't good cover. All my gang members died in about 2 minutes, and I too died when I was running away from the million assholes trying to kill me with 1% health. Yes, I start with full health and armour. No they're scattered all over the place and at least 1 or 2 run away while you're fighting the rest so you have to go hunt them down. Yeah I know what you mean about there being 60 guys to kill. That's what got me in the drug wars. There were so many of them and to top that off many times it would also trigger the cops getting involved and I end up getting caught between the cops and the drug way. I never remember the cops being in on the Drug wars. I also didn't realize that you could use the APC until the 49th one and I only got it then because the drug war was right next to where the APC spawns. That makes it a lot easier. Mince Posted March 17, 2010 Author Share Posted March 17, 2010 I finally managed to finish all 50. They were hard at one point, but I guess started getting better at them. Near the end, they were more annoying than they were hard, especially when I was in the middle of a field with really low health and more people running towards me, and I had to drive all around town looking for health. And also, when I was doing a gang war in Alderny, some car of thugs somehow ended up in Algonquin, and I had to race over there. And yes, the Rocket Launcher did help me out a lot. TRANEMing Posted March 22, 2010 Share Posted March 22, 2010 (edited) Gang Wars are more difficult than the Drag Wars ,that is the point I agree.....but Gang Wars ,I think,are not so hard to finish it....I have done about 30....and I found a way to deal with the enemies........ First,I got to the location but not too close.....just the enemies cant spot you yet ... Second,I used M4 as the main weapon for the war.....then shoot one of the enemies to attract their attention...REMEMBER TO KEEP SOME DISTANTCE!....For sure...your bothers will rush to the enemies to disperse the enemies' attention...Now your job is trying your best to keep your bothers alive(headshot is the best way to ice an enemy!!) until the reinforcements showed as a red cilp on the radar..... Third,take out the RPG to finish the reinforcements before they jump out of their vehicle(Perhapes 2 or 3 car but they will arrive one by one)....
