sarahandkevin
have not been here in a long time, but come back today and was reading some posts, a thought come to my mind and i thought should rockstar only develop gta 5 for the ps3 and pc reasons are, because playstation 3 has more power in every way (i think) than all the other consoles, and as for pc, well i think everyone should know about the pc, i would say my pc is about level with a ps3, but the brand new graphics cards are better than ps3 i would say so developing gta5 for xbox 360 also could be a bad idea, because they will have to limit how they make the game and what they do with the game i am not a game developer or anything so i could be totally wrong in everything i am saying but i think if they just develop gta 5 for the ps3 and pc they will be able to make gta 5 amazing what does everyone have to say about this? Kwandilibro
that would really suck for 360 and because of all the money rockstar gets from 360 users, its highly unlikely. theyd rather work with microsoft to make their disks hold more, if thats possible
Garfield 2
Yes! And make XBOX 360 users wait f*cking 9 months for it. Let's show them our (PS3 & PC users) pain that we had by waiting for TLaD and TBoGT.
Alick
As much as I love the PS3, it isn't any better than the 360, so only developing for it would lose Rockstar a ton of sales. The only thing it does have over the 360 is disc space, but that's overcome with DLC anyway. And after GTAIV's mess of a PC port, I think it would be better for Rockstar to do a better job with the PC version of V.
Lazy Squirrel PT
It won't happen. M$ wouldn't let them do that, and besides there's a lot of money to be made from 360 users. And besides, they could just fit the game into 2 discs or whatever, like someone else already said somewhere. Also, they won't because I won't let them xD I want to play too
sarahandkevin
i guess for 360 they could split it between 3 or 4 dvd, depending how large the game would be but what about graphic power and all that other kind of stuff, if they do develop for 360 too could we just see another game that looks like gta 4? The-King
I never post in this forum and the reason is pretty apparent given the postings in this topic. What would be the point in developing for only PC and PS3? Especially considering that the 360 and PC are comparatively identical in regards to the development process, compared to the PS3 which is overly complicated and difficult to work with. In the end, if we were only wanting the best game possible it would be ideal to develop for only the PC and 360, as the crossover would be easily done as opposed to the PS3. But in the end it would be a stupid idea to exclude any of the three platforms as that would leave out a huge crowd and piss off a lot of folks. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

SilentSeas
As much as I would like to see a GTA exclusive to the PS3, it would be a huge mistake on R*'s part. They would lose a large section of their fan base and lose out on a huge profit. The PS3 is better than the 360 graphically and in terms of disk space. A lot of 360 players will say that the 360 has better graphics but they fail to realise that most games are built for the 360 and then ported onto PS3 (a prime example of this is GTA IV). R* have already said that they would like to harness the full potential of the PS3, which is what they're gonna do with Agent, meaning that its even more unlikely that the PS3 will get GTA exclusively. I just hope R* have learnt their lesson after EfLC.
maxopower
Lazy Squirrel PT: It won't happen. M$ wouldn't let them do that… Why wouldn’t M$ “let” Rockstar develop a PS3 exclusive. MS don’t own Rockstar or take 2, And do have to remide you of Agent, the PS3 exclusive title. ------- Rockstar and the House’s have already expressed their love for the PS3 in past interviews, we know they like the machine. And I Think they could do wonders, if they focused on the PS3. Unless your internet, have been down for the past few weeks, you know about GOWIII. You know how amazing it looks, you might even have played the very misleading Demo. And you know about the massive review scores. GOD III is exclusive too the PS3, it’s not only because Sony paid for the development and branding, but also because the game are only possible on the PS3. The game is so massive, it couldn’t fit on a normal DVD Disc, and the engine is not even running 100%, but only around 50% - 60%. With that much potential, GTA could be even bigger, even Grater and even more fun
GTA_getaway_driver
My thoughts are that it should not be exclusive in any way, being R* would loose alot of money. Yes PS3 is more powerful, but 360 is a bit downgraded due to every file being compressed, PS3 has uncompressed files, leaving a more clean/crisp look, so be happy. The only big advantage the PS3 has is the Blu-Ray disc. But the GPU, CPU, RAM are all equal. So please, stop saying the Xbox is bad. The PS3 is as bad as the 360 compared to the PC. R* should develop for PC's, then they should port it to consoles. That would be much better for both graphics and performance, i think.

Guanxi
I would love to see R* pull a Square-Enix with next gta title, i.e. develop it primarily for the PS3 and juice the sh*t out of it to the point of being completely unapologetic by making basically little to no design concessions for the accompanying x360 port whatsoever and if that means multiple disc swaps, long loading screens, lower res-textures and/or at a lower frame-rate/resolution so be it. Edit: That's simply a byproduct of buying the older & cheaper console and If you don't like it wait for the PC version. GunnyBOS
I don't care. As long it's for all systems, I don't care. If make a "waiting period" - I'll still wait, because there's plenty of other games you can play when you wait for the "special game." E.G. EFLC. Hey You
Yes! And make XBOX 360 users wait f*cking 9 months for it. Let's show them our (PS3 & PC users) pain that we had by waiting for TLaD and TBoGT. Go cry me a river. We (360) users payed for the exclusive. I disagree that Rockstar should make GTA PS3 exclusive as said above, They would lose a crap load of money and fans. I'm not sure the real differences in Graphics between 360 & PS3 but when I played GTA IV on the PS3 it didn't look that different.

Also you should really blame R* and Microsoft, not the people that use the console. And to be honest, the best possible choice is owning both. i guess for 360 they could split it between 3 or 4 dvd, depending how large the game would be Isnt GTA IV on the xbox only something like 4gb when installed onto the console? because if it is, i don't see disk size being a problem anytime soon. Tsuroki
this topic going to arguing topic Yes it is. The entire purpose of this thread is just dripping with bait to start a ridiculous console bitchfest, and I'm not entirely willing to play along. I'm locking this up before we spiral into the abyss of console flame wars.
