I know it may seem strange, but I really don't want swimming in the next game.

I have never enjoyed it, it was at least better in IV than it was in San Andreas, but it's very tedious. Boats in general actually, I've never liked them in these games. And I'd rather you were encouraged to stay out of the water altogether.

I believe having military vehicles in the San Andreas game was a big hit, its good sometimes to let off a little steam and go completely nuts on a killing spree in tank or one of the other military mayhem machines.

 

I agree in making GTA more realistic, but i think you are pointing the gun in the wrong direction. I believe GTA should concentrate on things like making more buildings enterable and with no load times (eventually peaking GTA with a complete 'go anywhere, do anything, sandbox style 10/10 game).

But, they should also make GTA more criminally realistic as regards to robbing banks, drug dealing, organised crimes etc.

i want

 

1 an improved system for the law enforcers (too much respawning), better cop AI in general

2 no more little kids on multiplayer

3 a return for the flame thrower, an improved weapons selection

4 the sometimes grey realism of IV (its still the best one) toned down and the return of a slightly more warped sense of reality (all you 'go play saints row 2 then' goons have such a non argument gta and saints row are worlds apart and should never be compared)

5 an improved armed/unarmed fighting system. (occasionally hit someone with a well timed right hook knocking them clean out, the ability to dive and shoot)

6 an improvement in the number of enterable buildings

7 an improvement on the AI and variety of the peds with more possibilities for interaction

8 an improvement in the general atmosphere/ happenings/scenarios of the city and its inhabitants.(i want to see roberies and kidnappings and gangland violence, police brutality, drug dealing, pimping, vandalism, police chases, lone gunmen, more car accidents, suicide attempts, hysteria around a celebrity with screaming fans, paparazzi body gaurds etc)

9 a major overhaul of the Multiplayer modes( co-op co-op co-op)

What You want:

 

1) If you think IV has bad cop AI and law enforcement you should have played the previous 'generation' of GTA!

2) Nothing you can do about that but make sure you have enough friends playing that you can vote to kick anybody.

3) No thanks - Niko was badass with the weapons he had - TBOGT was just over the top!

4) SR2 was good but GTA IV was Immense. I liked IV, favourite of the whole series, followed by VC!

5) That does happen - sometimes Niko manages to knock a ped, with full health, out in one hit.

6) Considering V is a sequel that is a definite.

7) See above.

8) I agree. Why did I feel like I was the only criminal in the whole city! I want to see Robberies, chases.etc.

 

What I don't want:

 

1) The III- SA era of law enforcement.

2) A change in direction - I like R*'s new take on GTA with IV.

3) To feel like I am the only criminal.

4) OTT weapons without a valid reason - atleast TBOGT had Rickie Van Hardenburg (or whatever his name was) to explain.

5) Friends to be got rid of.

6) A limit to the number of taxi missions you can do. I liked doing those for Roman it was a good change of pace.

7) Bad AI in regards to racing - Brucie's races were good fun except I left them behind on the first corner and I never once lost a race.

 

I can think more things I want than I don't want...

They won't be overpowered, they would be overpowered if you could blow a car parked one meter next to you and you wouldn't die, like in SR2.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. WHY? The weapons in IV were a f*cking scandal, I hated the fact, 16 weapons (14 discounting melee ones) in a damn TPP action game?

 

Getting money harder? Are you f*cking kidding me? Getting money is already unrealistic as hell in IV, you get a freakin 75 bucks for stealing a car, along with beating 2 guys, escaping cops optionally. You should get like, at least 250 bucks for it instead of 75.

Why do so many people talk about jetpacks as if they were some horrible mainstay that Rockstar refused to delete—nonexclusive to this thread? Not that I am for or against them, but there has only been one GTA that featured a jetpack, and since then there have been.... 4 and..¾? GTAs since then! It really seems that the jetpack wasn't so much a "trend" as it were a gimmick associated with SA's most fantastical setting, and the chances of it reappearing in the next GTA are perhaps as ridiculous as the next GTA being a top-down game. If the next GTA is on GBA then I'm screwed!

Yeah, in IV the highways aren't even highways. Cars are going about half the speed they should be going, and there's no actual "feel" of flowing car traffic.

 

Midnight Club LA seemed to have a decent depiction of a highway, so hopefully the next GTA will actually do it right.

 

And in San Andreas the highways were so glitchy and there were so many crashes it was pretty much a broken system...

Ex: Miniguns that you can carry anywhere? we have normal assault rifles, it can kill right? or Flamethrower? cmon, we can have molotovs... Isn't that enough to make fire?

 

6. Muscles, Changeable Hair, Fatness, etc

This ain't "The Sims"

 

7. Current Online lobby/Online system

It's not that bad, but it should really get an upgrade. For example: when you enter a Lobby it should be a room, or a safehouse, or a building, so the players can hang around or kill each other for a while where the host can make the settings instead of just kicking the host because the other players are not patient enough, and the Host should really have the power to really kick someone instantly instead of voting it like the regular players. The Leveling Up system should change as well, level up by how many you kill total (disallow) or how many headshots you got with a specific weapon just like in Call Of Duty but more simple.

 

8. Oversized City/Open Space (except Airports )

I don't think we really need a big location, I was angry at first when I found out that Liberty City (IV) was a lot smaller than SA, but then I found out that Rockstar put MORE detail in it and more unique interiors. That's what I really want. As for the open space like deserts, countryside, other big space, it really needs to go. I know it's fun for doing crazy sh*t but let the Airport handle that, or the water that surrounds the next location.

 

9. Diving Underwater

Just one question, for what? It's a waste of memory like modeling a the seabed or the seafloor, or maybe the rocks the fishes, and putting god damn easter eggs in it. It's boring... The current one (IV) is perfect.

 

10. Locked Out City

It's in all GTA games since III(except TLaD or BoGT), you can't cross over to the other parts of the city. Don't make a roadblock or excuse like the bridge has been bombed, or a terrorist is trying to get out of the city and all that sh*t. It's a sandbox game, it should give you freedom.
