Last season the boys were haunted by dead celebrities, stood up to Harley riders, took a stand against the Japanese to save the whales and Butters became a pimp. Now, the foul-mouthed fourth-graders of "South Park" return for more shenanigans! Kicking off its 14th season, "South Park," winner of the 2009 Primetime Emmy Award, returns with seven all-new episodes beginning Wednesday, March 17 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL. The series also reaches a milestone on Wednesday, April 14, by celebrating its 200th episode.

You heard it boys and girls March 17 at 10:00 PM.

Premiere Episode: 500 AK-47's Please!

Looks like they are talking about this incident...

Another issue the committee probed was Bunker 22, an armory near the notorious Pol-e-Charki prison that held weapons meant for the Afghan National Police. According to the committee investigation, more than 200 AK-47s were taken out of Bunker 22 in September 2008 and signed for by a Paravant/Blackwater employee named “Eric Cartman.” Some of the weapons apparently withdrawn by our favorite South Park character were unaccounted for for months afterward, according to the committee.

My friend showed me both 'teasers' from Season 14 yesterday. I was blown away, especially the COPPERCAP CARTMAN one blew my mind.

This looks really promising biggrin.gif.

Episode 1401 Press Release

From the Comedy Central Press Release:

SEX ADDICTION IS ON THE RISE IN THE 14TH SEASON PREMIERE OF

"SOUTH PARK" BEGINNING ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17 AT 10:00 P.M. ON COMEDY CENTRAL

New York, March 15, 2010 - The latest in scientific testing reveals that some of the boys have a sex addiction problem in the 14th season premiere of "South Park" titled "Sexual Healing" premiering on Wednesday, March 17 at 10:00 p.m. on Comedy Central.

The nation's top scientists come together to put a stop to the recent phenomenon of rich, successful men who suddenly want to have sex with many, many women. After extensive testing, some of the fourth grade boys in South Park Elementary are diagnosed as sex addicts.

Looks like a funny episode anyways...

(Tiger Woods anyone?)

Eh, another dull episode to start the new season. A few laughs here and there, but overall it was a miss. I actually dug the series premiere episode of Ugly Americans more. That's a f*cking wild show.

Snake Without a Tongue

The rerun of the Atheist episode before the premiere was funnier than the new episode. Eh, hit and miss. The return of Ginger Cartman looks promising.

Yeah I have to agree that it wasn't the best episode,

but it did have some part that hit that twisted part in my brain as funny.

For instance; When Kenny was found dead in his room while in a batman costume with a belt around his neck, and following funeral scene where they had the picture of kenny with the slight head tilt. Secondly, and maybe to a lesser extent how effected Butters was after the 'handkerchief test'

Butters and the bush fascination was pretty good.

But I liked the episode because it had some home town stuff in it. How can you not like when your home town is in tv and movies?

I used to live directly behind Independence Hall biggrin.gif.

The new sex addiction episode was disappointing...

As soon as the guy explained erotic asphyxiation, I knew Kenny would die that way...

And the only part I found humorous was Butters obsession with what he had seen in the handkerchief test, and his last comment after he had paid some girl to show him... turn.gif

I thought the autoerotic asphyxiation thing was funny but also the whole thing about Tiger woods games as I f*cking hate those games and my idiot "stepdad" is obsessed with those sh*tty games. I loved the facial expression of David Letterman it was spot on. Otherwise not too good.

I haven't seen any of these new episodes yet, but I'm not really expecting much after the last couple seasons. A lot of the episodes seem pretty hit-or-miss these days. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the goofy early seasons of South Park, but I just don't find myself laughing as much when watching a newer episode.

Oh, suck on my chocolate salty balls. Put 'em in your mouth!

My favorite recent episodes were: the Somalian pirates episode, Japanese killing the whales and the hilarious ending, Margaritaville, Fishsticks, and some others. And a long time ago where Cartmen wants to go to Casa Bonita in Denver --- mostly loved it because I've actually been to Casa Bonita in Denver.

Can't really say the show is going downhill. Unlike the Simpsons which died ages ago, and even while alive wasn't that good. And Family Guy with useless jokes out of nowhere, with no plot relevance or cleverness. Family Guy is funny, but mindless.

South Park has poor episodes, but the terrible ones are usually very old. I also like how they make mention of current stuff like videogames from a reasonable perspective, and usually know what they're talking about --- unlike the Simpsons which shows the viewpoints of old people/ last generations. And generally not knowing anything about videogames.

South Park had a scene where (Goths vs.Vampires episode) where the kids were playing Call of Duty World at War multiplayer. It was funny, because I could actually relate on that basic level --- unlike the Simpsons which has the same outdated viewpoints of 10 years ago...

The connection I had was very basic and generally unimportant, but at least it was a connection of some sort, ya know?

yay for South Park cookie.gifcookie.gifcookie.gif

Episode 1402 Press Release

NEW YORK, March 22, 2010 - The parents decide the kids are mature enough to read a book that was formally banned in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled "The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs," premiering on Wednesday, March 24 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.

The boys are given a controversial book to read in school that both excites and inspires them to write one of their own. When the boys discover that Stan's mom has found their masterpiece, their new motivation is how they can stay out of trouble.

tomorrow huh? happy.gif

Anyway, I've been watching past episodes I haven't seen --- the one where Cartman freezes himself (so he doesn't have to wait 3 weeks for Nintendo Wii release) is incredibly clever and great. The last minute in the 2 part episode just raised it to one of my favorite episodes ever:

when he get's a call from himself at the very end at the EZ Games store, but this time being on the receiving end and being aware of the actuality --- it's just classic. Since at the end Cartman ends up having to wait 2 months for the Nintendo Wii, I'm wondering if maybe Cartman ends up in a perpetual cycle and never actually gets to play the Wii? tounge.gif

There were other things in the episode too, like the Atheist, completely "reasonable" people of the future being at war with other atheists over petty differences, near the end revealed to be even more petty than originally hinted..

I thought the last episode was mildly funny, but this one didn't even make me chuckle. Not impressed in the least.

I've got to agree with Don on Ugly Americans, though; it's shaping out pretty well.

I agree. For me, it was too exaggerated: people throwing up constantly and then seeing a deeper meaning that wasn't there...

The four boys even explained that their book was just meant to be offensive.

If the episode had anything of value, it was showing sheep people --- the woman saying Butter's sequel was "even better than the first" and someone else agreeing with "yes, it's less vulgar, but he seems to be going back to his roots" ... People not even thinking for themselves, just saying stuff because it sounds smart or whatever, I dunno..

And Butters wanting to kill Lennon after reading that other...

The episode's end message, of people sometimes seeing deeper meaning that isn't there --- that message is often true, especially for books --- I just think South Park did a really standard, non-clever episode based on a decent idea.

It feels like the South Park people had a "brainstorming" meeting to come up with new ideas, (usually some sort of issue or stupidity in society) --- then they narrow down some good ideas like the premise of this episode; but then didn't take the time to make clever lol moments, or general enjoyment.

Hope the next episode is better... South Park should discuss more issues in society, and actually do them in clever ways... There's dozens of immediate possibilities I could name that South Park hasn't even touched..

Yes, after listening to the commentaries on the South Park DVD's, I found out that Trey and Matt kinda realise these "topical" episodes are less funny than the simplistic "8 year old boy situation" episodes. As said in the post above, it seems they discuss how to get a message across and making fun of people, whereas with the episodes that focus on the kids (Most recent example being "The List", one of my favorite episodes) they admit they focus more on being funny because there is room for it with a simple plot.

This episode wasn't very great. Yeah I laughed, but I really can't tell if I actually found parts funny or if I just felt like I had to laugh.

Simpsons syndrome.

I thought this episode was much better than last weeks episode. Sure, humping chimpanzees and alien wizards are funny but South Park making fun of their audience who always look for a deeper meaning in the show is much funnier. And the Today Show had the most realistic depiction of vomiting I've seen in quite some time.

True... though there are some 'underlying themes' in South Park. Not as retarded/stupid as they depict in their latest episode but still.

I enjoyed it eventhough it wasn't one of their best. They just make 'mediocre' episodes as well which is obvious.

It's too early to call this 'The Simpsons' syndrome and even then, the Simpsons have some pretty great 'new' episodes aswell.

Mister Pink
Just watched the Scrotie McBoogballs episode. Absolutely hilarious. I must watch more South Park. It's one of this shows that I really understand and find all their humour hilarious but never got around to aquiring any full seasons. I dont have Comedy Central or whatever so I only see new episodes in mates houses.

I liked McBoogerballs more than Sexual Healing, I don't seem to enjoy these "faux news satirical" episodes as much as I used to - Dead Celebrities wasn't funny at all. The alien thing didn't fly with me, nor did the sexaholics anonymous scenes. Anyway, I definitely enjoyed the ridicule of those bastards who basically make messages up when they really aren't there. The caricature of Sarah Jessica Parker was really well made, and seeing Butters fall flat on his ass again was great. I don't know why, but Butters is such an unsympathetic character.
