BrownBear
Why do people on this forum keep reffering to gta 4 as vannila 4? Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/442763-vannila/ Share on other sites
hetment
itd because gta 4 has two dlcs- the lost and damned and the balad of gay tony.. so to differentiate it from then they say it vanilla gta 4 which measn that it is the base gta 4 with no effect of DLC or mods.. just see vanilla is all white an then u add choclate and all in it Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/442763-vannila/#findComment-1059817463 Share on other sites

TheIncredibleMrGQ
I hate it when people say that...the other 2 don't have the "IV" in their title, if they were called GTAIV: Lost and the Damned & GTAIV: Ballad of Gay Tony, it would be maybe justifiable...but they are simply GTA: LAD & GTA:BoGT...there's literally no reason not to simply call it GTAIV... Incorrect. TLAD was called "GTA IV: The lost and damned" Vanilla is also a term for an unmodded game. Hmm Regardless, there's still no reason to call it "vanilla" Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/442763-vannila/#findComment-1059817558 Share on other sites

Ryan
Vanilla IV, or IV Vanilla is a term used to refer to the normal copy of the game (without TLAD or BOGT), or a copy of the game that is un-modded. phillipwnd
The term is used for other things besides games. (For example, sex) It's just a way of saying "regular" or "plain" . Sometimes "boring". But obviously as far as GTA IV goes, we're saying it's "Plain" or "un-altered". As in Vanilla Ice cream without the hot fudge on top. Nova69_7
I see why people call it 'Vanilla', as it's the basic flavour without anything added but to be honest it's much less hassle to just refer to is as IV or GTA4 even...everyone knows what I mean when I type either of those two so why bother typing 'Vanilla?'. That just sounds daft anyway! Lol! Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/442763-vannila/#findComment-1059841751 Share on other sites

Does that mean that The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony are chocolate and strawberry respectively?
