Johnny.K 0 Posted March 6, 2010 I have a question for all of you... and another for Rockstar Games Production, my questions are both from GTA The Lost and Damned My first question is for the Start Story from TLaD, when Johnny and The Lost are going to pick up Billy from rehab... the're in Alderney Streets right? and Niko Bellic is walking over the Alderney Streets when the lost are passing... why is N.B. in Alderney? I thought that the bridges were closed in that momment, because even when Niko meets Johnny K. by first time in the coke exchange between them and the undercover cop, the Alderney bridge kept closed, then, what was N.B. doing there? My other question is not a question at all, I think is rather an argument... Personally I didn't like that in GTA TLaD and TBoGT Niko Bellic appeared with the initial clothes, I think Rockstar Games production should dress him in different clothes like a Perseus suit or something like... Sorrrrrry por mi bad ingles xD soy Mechicano
Mokrie Dela 2,923 Posted March 6, 2010 It's just a cameo. And they dress him in the default outfit - the amount of clothes thats in the game, how can they dress him how you want? so they used teh default template
TommyMufc-Champs 6 Posted March 6, 2010 Does it really matter what clothes Niko is wearing

It is probably because the Glock is the pistol you use first.

"Ladies half price" Where Gracie is exchanged for the diamonds. As Luis you can go back, and yes they are set to super high health. There's a youtube vid (probably loads) of it. Magic_Al 828 Posted March 30, 2010 Here is what it takes to kill Niko and Packie And here is one of (not) killing Niko in the museum
EduardKoeleJuck 4 Posted March 30, 2010 I agree, espcially in the later parts of the game, it would be more appropriate if he had worn a suit. Although I would have loved to see him in just some random clothes.

Although I would have loved to see him in just some random clothes. Or if he had been wearing the clothes you wore in IV during that mission (that is, if you did the mission). they could've just.. converted.. the data from IV to TLaD/TBoGT.. if that's possible. I'm not so good with that kind of stuff.

True, few players would have Niko still wearing the default outfit by those missions, but it's the only outfit that every player's Niko owns (not counting disguises like the doctor outfit and the garbage outfit) so Rockstar avoids choosing for the player. Well, was just a quick thought. I couldn't care less for what Niko wears, considering we'd be playing as someone else, not him. But maybe they could've just randomise Niko's look? Idk. BuMbLeYbEe93 0 Posted April 11, 2010 i wore the default clothes for every mission, (apart from the ones where i had to wear a suit or disguise etc.).. what does it matter anyway?
Mince 99 Posted April 12, 2010 Yeah, R* kinda screwed up with the continuity. After all, how is it that Johnny and Luis can cross the bridges freely yet in Niko's story there is a "terrorist scare"?
buzbegone 17 Posted April 12, 2010 Yeah, continuity and realism be damned, my brother. Since TBoGT starts with the cutscene of the bank heist, how can this be so when in IV the island isn't unlocked until after that mission when Derrick's missions become available. I'm not sure when TLaD's storyline begins in terms of Vanilla IV.
Mince 99 Posted April 12, 2010 Well, about 1/4 of the way through the story in TLaD you have the drug deal gone bad from IV, when Niko is in Bohan, so probably it starts a little before that.
solid0snake1 0 Posted December 9, 2010 niko could not cross bridges becuase all russian had to stay in bohan

The Lolwut Pear 4 Posted December 9, 2010 Also, Gracie has the clothes she uses in The Ballad Of Gay Tony during 'Ladies Half Price' instead of the black suit from GTA IV's 'Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend'. Also, Johnny and Luis looked really different in IV compared to the DLCs.
Magic_Al 828 Posted December 10, 2010 Also, Gracie has the clothes she uses in The Ballad Of Gay Tony during 'Ladies Half Price' instead of the black suit from GTA IV's 'Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend'. Also, Johnny and Luis looked really different in IV compared to the DLCs. Unnecessary inconsistencies in a series have a long tradition exemplified by Arthur C. Clarke in the Space Odyssey novels, Arthur Conan Doyle in Sherlock Holmes, and in TV and film series: actors change, sets change, backstories change. Sometimes continuity is sacrificed because a better idea is a better idea. Technically, Rockstar could patch GTA IV to erase the inconsistencies with EFLC, but they decide that's not how they want to spend their resources. The_Anti-tragedy 1,117 Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) After all, how is it that Johnny and Luis can cross the bridges freely yet in Niko's story there is a "terrorist scare"? Well, the only time you need to cross the bridge form Algonquin to Bohan is when you do the drug deal for Elizabeta which in Niko's story, unlocks Algonquin. As if the bridges are open to Algonquin when you start the mission both for Johnny and Niko. I don't know about Alderney, though. I think Stubbs' missions take place near Three Leaf Clover in GTA IV where Alderney's unlocked. Stubbs' missions are in Algonquin. jlamay 14 Posted December 19, 2011 I think it would have been cool to have seen Niko in one of his suits in LAD & BOGT. Doesn't a lot of players already have him in the suit by then. I do.
